The 2024 Sustainable Energy in America Factbook highlights a record-breaking year for clean energy deployment, with substantial growth in utility-scale power generation and storage capacity, including renewable energy and natural gas. These advancements not only bolster the US economy and reduce emissions but also underscore the crucial role of clean energy in enhancing national competitiveness on a global scale. As America moves towards solving infrastructure permitting challenges, the continued push for clean energy promises to secure a sustainable, prosperous future for all Americans, transcending partisan divides and focusing on the collective benefit.

Clean Energy Council chief executive Kane Thornton shares how clean energy is unavoidable for Australia and for the world. Exactly right Peter Lewis. The energy transition is hard. Especially at the scale and speed required. But also essential and inevitable. And easier than the 3C+ global heating alternative. Shame we've made it so much harder by not having the key market mechanism of a price on carbon to drive investment to the right things/places, and redistribute capital more equitably.
