The dance show from the Program for Girls and Young Women was absolutely amazing! 🌟
Each performance was so much fun to watch, with themes ranging from summer to light shows. Every act showed the hard work and dedication of our girls, and we couldn’t be prouder!
A big thank you to everyone who made this event possible, from the organizers to the performers and everyone in between.
Do you want to know how to make your events more inclusive? The Trans Dimension Guide to Inclusive Events is here for you! (We also have pin badges)
As a trans and disabled-led studio, we're acutely aware of the large intersection between trans and disabled communities. We worked with the Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People and Gendered Intelligence to make a resource for event organisers who want to consider access as an intersectional, multi-faceted issue.

Our 2023 Melbourne Female Founder Festival panellists - Rhiannon Tracey, Vicki Stirling and Cherie Clonan shared some things they wish more people knew:
Neurodiversity is actually a superpower – harness it!
Forget all those outdated stereotypes, imagine for a moment, having a mind that operates in a beautifully unique way. It’s like having a secret superpower that allows you to see the world from a completely different angle. Well, guess what? That’s exactly what being neurodivergent is all about.

Open Call! 📣 Help shape racial equity in NYC Government. Submit your feedback on the NYC Commission on Racial Equity (CORE)’s Community Equity Priorities by August 16.
Why is this important❓
Racial justice is key to ensuring an equitable, vibrant, and diverse New York City dance ecosystem. This is your opportunity to give input on how you think equity needs to be implemented across our sector. This will impact agencies that decide language access for immigrant dance workers, housing access for low-income dance workers, and education access for dance students. It also includes agencies like the Department of Cultural Affairs.

Join Dance/NYC by submitting public feedback by the August 16 deadline.

Time flies when you are having fun! I can't believe it has been 10 years!! P.A.I.N.T. is an acronym for Promoting Arts, Individuals and Natural Talents.
Viewing disabilities as "hidden abilities" that simply need to be unlocked reframes the conversation around potential and capabilities. It emphasizes the importance of recognizing and nurturing the unique talents and strengths of individuals, regardless of any challenges they may face.
By focusing on uncovering and fostering these hidden abilities, we can create a more inclusive and supportive environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and make meaningful contributions.
P.A.I.N.T. turns 10 this year! 🎉
Our program is dedicated to empowering adults with disabilities through artistic expression. Our mission is to cultivate creativity, build confidence, and foster a sense of community by providing a supportive environment where individuals can explore their artistic potential. Through exhibitions and sales, we aim to celebrate their talents and promote inclusion within the wider community.
Cheers to many more years ahead 🥂
At a time when anti-transgender rhetoric and legislation are growing at alarming and dangerous rates, it is crucial that Americans hear from transgender people about their lives and how the current political and cultural climate can be harmful to them.
Today, we launched “Here We Are,” a ground-breaking video campaign that shares the real stories of transgender people, in a time when 71% of Americans claim they’ve never met someone who is transgender and when anti-transgender rhetoric from politicians and some in the media continues to rise.
Most Americans are exposed to trans issues through media-biased narratives. GLAAD and GROUND Media’s new campaign dispels these misconceptions to introduce Americans to transgender people and their supportive families who showcase that trans identity is real and that everyone deserves to be who they are and live safely.

There is so much to say about Here We Are - a powerful new campaign we are proud to launch today with GLAAD. For now, please spend some time getting to know Gio, Ashton and Nadya on the website - share it with your friends and communities and let everyone know that every person has the right to be their authentic selves, free from fear.
We can break down the barriers of misinformation and political rhetoric simply by getting to know each other. Acceptance is easy - it's human nature.
