In an AI-driven future, the software does the video watching, and humans make decisions. Rahul Yadav, Chief Technology Officer, points out key trends that will redefine safety and security solutions in 2024. • Game-changing video analytics software Basic video analytics, such as object detection and counting in a box, are already extensively employed in safety and security applications. To envision the future of security, we can draw inspiration from self-driving cars. These vehicles are already leveraging advanced video analytics to identify and track objects, even predicting how to evade them, all in real-time. • Responsible Technology As AI drives the shift in video surveillance from observation to action, Responsible Technology is emerging as a prominent trend in 2024 and beyond. Future generations are watching how tech companies will approach AI in a responsible way. For them, innovation is no longer solely about who can innovate the fastest; but who can innovate responsibly. Consequently, tech companies must integrate Responsible Technology principles into the way they develop, the way they sell and the way their customers use their technology. CTO @ SmartOne.ai | Tech Investor, Mentor, Board Member | Streamlining data to accelerate ethical and impactful AI 🚀
"Dirty" and "Dangerous" are often two of the robotic and AI "D's" that are combined in many applications. These applications aim to reduce human contact with contaminants and unpleasant things, often because there's an "icky factor." The goal is to minimize health and safety risks, removing people from unsafe scenarios while boosting operational safety and efficiency. Essentially, we're enhancing efficiency and effectiveness by moving people away from environments where they are not most effective, where they don't want to be, and where intelligent systems can offer more consistent and compatible performance within that specific context.
