📢 We’re proud to announce that our paper "Hyperthermia in Combination with Emerging Targeted and Immunotherapies" has been published open access in Cancers by MDPI. 🔍 The article discusses the ongoing challenge of cancer as a leading global cause of death despite advancements in therapies. Primary authors Tine Logghe and Eke van Zwol highlight the role of hyperthermia (HT) as a modality in cancer treatment, particularly its effectiveness as a sensitizer and its impact on cancer–immunity processes and oncogenic pathways. The article notes the recent focus on immunotherapy (IT) and targeted therapy (TT) in cancer research, both in academia and pharmaceutical companies. The main focus of the manuscript is to explore potential therapies that can enhance the effects of HT by targeting molecular pathways. The ultimate goal is to pave the way for future research and clinical trials, aiming to harness the synergistic potential of combining emerging IT and TT with HT for improved outcomes.
