Businesses of Warrington - Why not partner with us? Your business could help us make a real difference in the local community. The support of local (and national) businesses is vital to the running of our foodbank. We’d love your business to help us tackle food poverty on your doorstep. There are lots of ways to get involved, from volunteering with us a team building activity, to sharing your expertise. Below are just a few examples of how you can support our foodbank: - Organise a fundraising event to help make sure that no-one has to go hungry. - Sponsor or donate equipment to help with the day-to-day running of the foodbank. - Run a food drive at your offices. Hey not-for-profit sector LinkedIn! 👋 Small charities are often vital parts of their local communities. They provide much-needed services, bring people together, offer job and volunteering opportunities and make a tangible, lasting difference. But you don’t need us to tell you that running a small charity isn’t easy, so we thought we’d open up the conversation to share stories in our network. If you’re part of the team at a small charity, what are some of the challenges you’ve faced or are currently facing? How have you overcome these challenges, and what have you learnt along the way? Volunteering is an incredible way to support your community and local charities, but finding the time to help isn’t always easy. Micro-volunteering empowers everyone to contribute to worthy causes, one small action at a time. Whether it's lending a hand to a neighbour, sharing knowledge online, or donating a few minutes of your time to a local charity, every effort counts. We’re immensely proud of our TECOSIM team, for their readiness to step in when needed and support worthy causes. #Volunteering hashtag#CommunitySupport hashtag#MicroVolunteering hashtag#MakeADifference hashtag#SmallActionsBigImpact hashtag#SupportLocalCharities hashtag#GiveBack hashtag#EmpowerChange hashtag#CommunityService hashtag#GetInvolved hashtag#SocialGood

Volunteers are a lifeline for many charities, so it’s important to treat them with equity and fairness. Everyone should be able to volunteer and make a difference, whatever their background. Making volunteering accessible to everyone benefits both charities and those who want to give back, we look in to how to make volunteering more inclusive in our latest article. 🔗 Read the full article here ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/eRKSiYu6 #CharityDigital #VolunteersWeek #NonProfit

I am for these groups BUT at the same time…I think all genders should be able to share with each other. I work with everyone, regardless of who they are. Everyone seems the same to me when you meet someone human to human. I realise the need these groups meet (I sometimes suggest them to clients) but I do think we need to do one better as a society. Feeling safe and being safe are two different things. The more we tell men they can only talk to men, the less it tell everyone it isn’t safe to speak to and with other genders. I think that’s problematic. It embeds the existing narrative that contributes to a patriarchal and unequal society. “Men can’t be vulnerable, sit with inadequacy and show perceived” weakness” with “the other”. What to do.
It's great to see that so many guys are accessing support... Thank you so much to everyone who supports us as a charity. Whether that's by sharing our posts, doing fundraisers or volunteering. It all counts and helps towards our goal to #GetMenTalking #mensmentalhealthmatters #menssupportgroup #mentalhealthawareness

Did you know that this Friday is Fundraiser Appreciation Day? Fundraiser Appreciation Day is a chance to stop and say thank you to you, our incredible fundraisers, for all of the important work you do. Ryan Ginard, CFRE writes about #FundraiserAppreciationDayAU and the critical role of fundraisers in society in this recent article. Read it here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gtBsKm93
International award-winning social & political change author | Advocacy @ Minderoo Foundation | Founder of Fundraise for Australia
Thanks to F&P (Fundraising & Philanthropy) for running this important piece in the lead up to #FundraiserAppreciationDayAU. Was a real honour to write it in tandem with Sally Shepherd from Fundraising Institute Australia & Tessa Irwin CFRE EMFIA from APN. “Celebrating fundraisers helps to attract new talent to the field. As the need for charitable support grows, so does the demand for skilled fundraisers. Highlighting their successes and contributions can inspire others to join the profession and see it as a career path. This is particularly important given the current economic climate, where the cost-of-living crisis has exacerbated the need for charitable services. “We need more passionate individuals who are willing to take on the challenge of fundraising. By celebrating those who are already making a difference, we can inspire the next generation. As we navigate the challenges and opportunities of the current economic landscape, the role of fundraisers will only become more critical.” Remember to take the time this Friday (July 5th) to thank those building the essential resources to help our for purpose sector thrive. https://lnkd.in/gaxKk4bB

It's Small Charity Week, and the fact is, many of us in the UK believe our government should do more to back small charities. With the cost-of-living crisis worsening, over a quarter of us turn to these organisations for weekly support, highlighting their critical role in our communities. 🌟 NCVO's latest insights reveal disturbing trends: a significant portion of our population relies on small charities as the last resort for essential services. They're not just nice-to-have; for many, they are a necessity. 🏥💚 Everyone can contribute. Consider donating or volunteering - it's time to simplify the process and amplify our impact. These charities are at the heart of fighting loneliness and building community bonds, but they need our reinforcement to keep doing their vital work. 🤝 Want to make a difference? Connect with P4 Recruitment. We value the profound impact small charities have and strive to support their mission. Join the conversation and discuss how we can empower these local heroes. Reach out at www.p4recruitment.co.uk 📩 Let's make a tangible change! #SmallCharities #CommunitySupport #NCVO #togetherwecan
Government should do more to support small charities, say almost half of Brits
