Sharing this article I found with my broader network, since it could be helpful to more than just those who participate in the TeachedUp Career Expo. A little history on the Expo? I created it because I saw there was a great need among #educators to spread their wings #outoftheclass. They are all seeking to be a #transitionedteacher -- and are planning their #Edxit. I really would start a career expo in reverse, if there was a demand. Unfortunately, there are a number of barriers to hosting a successful expo aimed at drawing in educators -- not the least of which is the fact that the LinkedIn recruitment activity is far outpaced by the actual need recruiters are facing (meaning...if you didn't follow that...recruiters are underutilizing the potential to draw in local or even willing-to-move employees (if the States are willing to work with emergency certs while reciprocity is worked out)). So for now, I'll just do my part to bring support, happiness, and success to those who are moving out.

Hey Wolfpack! With the career fair coming up soon, it is important to leverage the many opportunities NC State offers. The Career Development Center (CDC) offers a large amount of tips and resources that help students identify and pursue their career goals. 🙌 The CDC offers: Resume Reviews: Have your resume reviewed by experienced staff for free! You can make an appointment to discuss resume material and to practice interview questions. ✍📄 Career Guide: The 2023-2024 career guide can offer quick tips for writing resumes, attending career fairs, and interview preparation. This guide can be essential for last-minute reminders or self-study.👔 Career Assessments: Taking the career assessment can help students explore their interests, skills, and preferences for engineering. It can also help narrow your search and make discoveries that you may have not considered.
