In a European project supported by the 3rd call for the Spain-Portugal Interreg Program (#POCTEP 2021-2027), and which received assistance in developing the application from the 2GO OUT Consulting team, Sogama leads a European digital transformation project with intelligent technologies for classifying packaging waste. ♻ This project, GRESINT, is supported by CITIC (UDC) on the Galicia side, and LIPOR , on the Portugal side, as well as the University of Beira Interior. 👉 Endowed with around €800,000, it will last 3 years and aims to improve the packaging classification process through smart technologies and contribute to achieving European recycling objectives. It includes three pilots at the Sogama and LIPOR factories, which aim to optimize sensorization, providing them with a layer of artificial intelligence and incorporating robotization. Change of mindset for circular procurement 🌱 On June 11-13 2024 Rijkswaterstaat, the Lead Partner of the Circular Minds Interreg Europe project organised the project opening event in Utrecht. South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency together with its external supporting partner, the Central Danube Development Agency took part on the 2,5 days event. The baseline project idea is that the reason why circular procurements are not that widespread as those could be lays in the fact that organisations applying that do not change their mindset. This change refers to individuals making up the organisation and is also relevant to the culture of the concerned organisation. Beyond getting to know each other (the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Resources leads the project partnership that consists of Belgian, Bulgarian, Finnish, Hungarian (South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency), Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish partners) the main issues tackled were as follows: 👉 motivation and its different levels for circular procurement minded shift, 👉 overview of awareness and capacity focused capabilities for the change, 👉 opportunities that increase the chances of a positive mindshift, such as procurement processes and organisational infrastructure. 📅 During the Kick-off Event partners also: - reviewed the current practices of circular public procurement in the Member States, - attended a team-building training session for understanding the Circular Minds consortium, - visited an entrepreneurial center initiated by the city of Utrecht that offers circular products and services. #CircularMinds #CircularEconomy #Rijkswaterstaat #STRIA

We're excited to announce the first Australia Southeast Asia Business Exchange mission to Singapore and Malaysia, happening from April 15th to 19th 2024. In an exclusive Q&A with GreenPort, Mr. Wei Siang New, Director of Maritime Decarbonisation & Net-Zero Pathways, discussed several green objectives for #MPA. This includes our #decarbonisation strategy, which spans across various areas such as port terminals, domestic harbour craft, and international shipping.   ⏳ 𝟮𝟬𝟱𝟬 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: MPA aims to achieve #netzero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, aligning with Singapore's climate targets and the International Maritime Organization's GHG reduction goals for international shipping.   💼 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀: MPA works closely with industry stakeholders, including shipping and logistics operators, to reduce emissions from domestic marine transportation and promote the adoption of green technologies and practices. These include developing electric #harbourcraft, charging infrastructure, and providing #greenfinancing to support e-HC adoption.   🔋 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆: MPA is committed to transitioning Singapore's port terminals to a low-carbon future through cleaner energy adoption, automation, and #digitalisation, aiming for at least a 60% reduction in total emissions by 2030 and net zero emissions by 2050.   🛢️ 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆: Singapore is focusing on developing bunkering infrastructure for alternative fuels like #methanol, #ammonia, and #hydrogen to meet the future energy needs of the shipping industry. BV Thailand is proud to be a partner in Asia's first carbon credit purchase project under the ‘'Bangkok E-Bus Programme'.    The Bangkok E-Bus Programme, owned by Energy Absolute PCL (EA), is the first authorised programme under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement in Asia and the second worldwide. Aiming to transition Bangkok's privately operated e-bus fleet from conventional to electric vehicles, the transaction marks a significant leap in Thailand's journey towards electric vehicle adoption and emissions reduction.    The Swiss-based KliK Foundation initiated this groundbreaking transaction by acquiring Internationally Transferable Mitigation Outcomes (ITMOs) from Thai Smile Bus Co.
