Stabilizing a Landfill At the old landfill "Am Knochen" in Raschau-Markersbach, Germany, geosynthetics have played a crucial role in creating stable and environmentally safe structures. Challenges: ❌ Unstable slopes ❌ Groundwater contamination risks Solutions: ✔️ Reinforced soil structures: Secugrid® geogrids for long-term stability. ✔️ Slope design: 45° inclination with a maximum height of 21m. ✔️ Erosion control: Secumat® mat and hydro-seeding for vegetation. ✔️ Drainage system: Granular layer and Secutex® nonwoven for effective water management. In this project, the Naue solutions excatly meet the requirements to ensure the landfill's long-term stability and environmental protection. 45° and 21m height is definitely a challenge for soil cover stability. Well done.
