@Ali Sheik Like many fans of @LKYSUNZ, I'm not alone in being excited about the team's focus on diversity, and inclusion, and of course, wanting to see how they bring something different to motorsports. As the world of media and PR continues to change, companies have to adapt their approach to different audiences. #SWITCHINITUP is a great example of how fans can show who they are and what they want (props to @Steve Price) DIVERSITY is about speaking to audiences from more than one background, through channels they trust. Legacy media will always have a place, but content creator-led social media and social publishing are becoming the most important voices in the room, allowing conversations with more diverse communities, and bringing with it new perspectives and new ways of thinking. ACCESSIBILITY is good for everyone. I've read a lot of posts about the lack of access for disabled communities, not just at the venues themselves, but also on digital and social media platforms - so alt text, colour contrast, video captions. With a bit of knowledge, digital accessibility can be done in-house by teams who want to understand how to improve, but access at locations needs to come through pressure being applied by the teams and organisations who want to show support for all of their fans. More audience INCLUSIVITY and being more financially viable. Appealing to younger audiences and more diverse demographics is just good business sense. Most people choose their teams when they're young, getting to know the sport, the personalities and this offers future financial benefits as these young fans become financially independent and spend money on tickets and merchandise. Creating teams that truly represent audiences - more women, more ethnic diversity, more disabled and neurodivergent team members - conveys a powerful message; attracting new fans and new talent. Looking at things from different perspectives allows for wider engagement and awareness. I for one think it's the perfect time for a company like @LKYSUNZ to shake shit up! It's been an honour @LKYSUNZ, thanks for the opportunity. #Accessibility #Inclusion #Diversity #Sports #F1 #Motorsports #Disability #Neurodivergent #DisabilityAwareness #PR #Media

I would not be where I am if not for the powerful mentors of my past, like Tracy Adcox or Elaine Harvey, who challenged me to be better. Today, at AbleGamers, we celebrate the incredible women who are not just part of our community but lead, innovate, and inspire every day in the gaming world and beyond. Women's contributions to gaming, technology, and accessibility are immeasurable and deserve our utmost recognition and for the ones who let me learn from them, my personal thanks. Inclusivity in gaming means ensuring that every individual, regardless of their abilities, has the opportunity to experience the joy, community, and empowerment that games can provide. Today, we especially honor the women who are pushing boundaries, breaking barriers, and creating a more accessible and inclusive gaming environment for everyone. Let's also take a moment to acknowledge the resilience and strength of women with disabilities, who face unique challenges yet continue to thrive and contribute their voices and talents to our community and the broader world. We at AbleGamers are committed to supporting and amplifying these voices, not just today but every day. We envision a world where everyone can play, and we're endlessly inspired by the women leading the charge in making this vision a reality. Here's to the women who game, who develop, who advocate, and who lead. Your strength, creativity, and passion make the gaming world a richer, more inclusive place. 💪💖🎮 #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2024 #GamingForEveryone #Accessibility #InclusiveGaming #WomenInGaming #AbleGamers

When it comes to Innovation, "Do we sell our souls?" 🤔 According to my friends over at TrueUp, over 200 THOUSAND friends in Tech have been impacted by layoffs this year alone. How many have been the result of advancements in AI? Regardless of how one feels on the matter, one can't deny, AI has and WILL continue to lead to more livelihoods being destroyed. Especially with crafts such as Art, Voice Acting, and arguably, even Marketing. As one of the next generation of Game Developers, let it be known: I will NEVER prioritize Profit > Souls. 👩🎨 Artists deserve to be compensated. 🗣 Voice Actors deserve to compensated. 🔥 The people BEHIND any project, regardless of impact, deserve to be compensated. If it ever gets to the point Propheteus or any project of mine strives away from this, I welcome our Community to take them back. 🫡 AI should NEVER replace the incredible talents of people. 👏👏👏 That's it. That's the post. 😄 #IndieRevolution #GameIndustry #GameDevelopment #AI #Tech #Marketing #Network #Community #EntryLevel #OpenToNetwork #Art #Layoffs #Support #Jobseekers #Student #VoiceActing #LGBTQ+ #MentalHealth

🌟 Celebrating Diversity in Gaming! 🌟 As a member of the video game industry, I'm excited to shine a spotlight on the recent introduction of Clove, the newest character in Valorant. Clove's arrival marks a significant milestone for inclusivity and representation in gaming. In an industry where diversity has often been overlooked, Valorant's decision to include a non-binary character like Clove is a powerful statement. It's a reminder that gaming is for everyone, regardless of gender identity or expression. Clove isn't just another character; they're a symbol of acceptance and visibility for non-binary individuals and the broader LGBTQ+ community. By featuring characters like Clove, games have the potential to foster empathy, understanding, and connection among players from all walks of life. As a community, we must continue to champion diversity and inclusivity in gaming. Whether we're developers, players, or industry professionals, we all have a role to play in creating a more inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and represented. Congratulations to Riot Games and the team behind Valorant for taking this important step forward. Let's keep pushing boundaries, breaking stereotypes, and celebrating the diverse tapestry of identities that make our gaming community so vibrant and enriching. Together, we can build a future where everyone feels valued and respected in the games we love. 🎮🌟 #DiversityInGaming #Inclusivity #RepresentationMatters #Clove #Valorant

Have you ever started your workday by playing a game? I hadn't, until yesterday. Boy, was that a gamechanger! #thursdayisthenewfriday I attended "The Power of Collective Voices" breakfast networking event, which involved us breaking into 3 groups of about 7-8 to play a game called TableTalk, developed by Moxy. I won't share more about how it was played - curious parties can contact Khatija, founder of Moxy to find out. But what I'd share are my personal takeaways related to #diversityandinclusion in the #workplace, especially for the gender segment: 1. Speak up! During the scenario-based game, we were motivated to turn every negative situation into a positive one by taking on the voice of a manager of, peer of, or the female character of the game. Sometimes, it could just be showing support and in others, to stand up against negative behavior. 2. Self-sabotaging is real. Even as organizations introduce programs and initiatives to improve equity or plug potential gaps among women affecting progression, some of us have self-limiting beliefs. Unfortunately, we have to be the ones to realize and resolve to overcome them. 3. Unconscious bias can negatively affect men too. I caught myself assuming that every mention of "senior leader" or "manager" in a negative secenario for the female character during the game was referring to a male. The realisation was a surprise because I had many male allies - even sponsors - and I still fell into the trap. As we wrap up this week, let's reflect on how we have shown up at our workplace - have we been an affirmative voice to create better inclusion? Or have we made assumptions about someone different from us, causing them to feel less than they deserve to? Regardless of the outcome of this reflection, we can all strive to do better next week! #tgif

I'm a game dev. And no one can tell me otherwise. Yesterday, I had the privilege to listen in on Amir Satvat and Aïda Figuerola's Game Industry Chat Session. However, of all the questions asked, one stood out to me the most: 💡 "Being someone who's about to graduate, do I stand a chance in the Entry Level Job market?" 🫠 As Amir Satvat pointed out, due to the influx of layoffs, there's an unprecedented amount of talent with only so many roles available. There's plenty of times where I've felt hopeless and as though games would never be possible for someone like me. In fact, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's been told to 'pivot while I still can'. Ultimately, it's once again thanks to people like Amir that I've come to realize the following: 🌸 If it's where your heart truly lies, you'll find your way into games given enough time. 🕑 It's just a waiting game at this point. Anyways, here's some dev art from my team's upcoming visual novel: Fleeting Blossoms ✨️ If you're in need of some extra serotonin, this whacky love story will be available FOR FREE come early May. 😎 I'm really proud of what we have so far. And I hope you all will be too. ❤️ #GameIndustry #GameDev #IndieDev #RealTalk #OpenForWork #OpenToNetwork #ProjectManager #BlossomVNJam #VisualNovel #LGBTQ+

If anyone's wondering how a company SHOULD handle Layoffs, ask Ryan Sohmer. Recently from my good friend Amir Satvat, I've heard about the unfortunate news regarding Laughing Dragon Studios and their need to layoff a good portion of their 100 Artists. While Layoffs are never a thing we want to see, there ARE ways to make it less horrific. 🧐 According to Ryan, all EXECUTIVE LEVEL salaries have been put on hold. 👀 Instead of being vague, the studio has created a PLAN to see the return of a majority of staff within a 6 MONTH period. 🥹 And most importantly, the CEO hasn't purchased 2 million dollars worth of luxurious Sports Cars leading up to this (Bungie should take note.) THIS is what our Community needs more of. Direct accountability, and a clear EFFECT not only on those impacted, but Executive Level positions as well. Ryan Sohmer, Thank you for being the first instance of Pay transparency when it comes to these unfortunate circumstances. 👏 The world needs more Ryans. #GameIndustry #GameDevelopment #Layoffs #Support #Video #Update #Jobseekers #Movement #Community #Network #OpenToNetwork #Layoff #Love #Student #LGBTQ+ #CEO #Art
