Let’s talk more about this! How can we turn the overwhelming feelings into action? In this professional circle, we dedicate our lives to action. But despite that, even we get overwhelmed on occasion (or often) by just how well we understand the Problem. What can we do to stay motivated and stay moving toward our big goals? It’s a difficult time to be a public servant, especially in fields relating to natural resources. Is it enough to have a career spent earning “little wins”? Change doesn’t happen overnight, but sometimes progress is hard to see when the breaking wave of overwhelming evidence is omnipresent and getting closer. How do you approach it? When did the role of public service shift from “uphold the level of service” to “catalyze and facilitate major change”? As I learn more about civil society, I am beginning to see that our respective roles have blended. In my humble opinion, the best way to get through this is going to be together.

Excellent talking points for kids AND adults. No doubt faster progress on complex issues like climate change would be made if people made more time to really educate themselves, their families, their friends, their coworkers, and their communities on what is at stake. #EcologicalEducation #Sustainability #FutureGenerations #InThisTogether

Today, we celebrate the International Day of Families with the theme "Families and Climate Change." This is an opportunity to bring attention to the ways in which families are impacted by climate change and the part that families can play in taking action against this issue. Every generation within a family has something unique to offer, whether it's guiding the next generation in the fight against climate change or serving as an example to the younger generation. Family members' crucial roles in climate change, in many forms and in different places, can serve as societal motivation. Let us take this day to reflect on the ways we can all work together, as families and as a global community, to mitigate the effects of climate change and create a brighter future for generations to come. #InternationalDayofFamilies #FamiliesandClimateChange #ClimateAction #circulareconomy #ecd #sustainablehabits #mitigation
