A devastating tornado threw a family’s dog 100 feet, paralyzing her legs. NVA’s Woodlake Animal Hospital saved her life and helped her walk again. In the aftermath of severe tornadoes in Oklahoma, Woodlake Animal Hospital provided crucial aid to families and animals displaced by the storms. One family lost everything, and their two-year-old dog, Bailey, was severely injured after being thrown more than 100 feet by the tornado. Her pelvis broke, and she was unable to use her hind legs. Dr. Zachary Lamar and the team acted quickly, but Bailey needed a plate on her pelvis to make her mobile again. After surgery and weeks in the ICU, the team was able to help Bailey walk again thanks to the support from Woodlake Animal Hospital’s Angel Fund. “Our goal is to support animals and their families during their darkest hours,” said Hospital Manager Misty Wilson. “Bailey's story is just one example of how we're making a difference. Woodlake’s Angel Fund of Okc has helped over 400 animals and has raised over $60,000 in donations. ️ “Every animal deserves a chance,” said Dr. Lamar. “We'll continue to be there to provide hope and healing, one life at a time.” 📸: NVA’s Woodlake Animal Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma #NVACommunity #NVAHeroes #VetMed #VeterinaryMedicine #Compassion #Care
