Launch of intermodal service between Germany and Sweden
💠 On January 3, German intermodal transport company Kombiverkehr GmbH & Co. KG will launch a regular route between the Lübeck Dänischburg CTL terminal and the Swedish cities of Hallsberg and Stockholm. The connection will be provided by rail and ferry. 💠 The train will depart in both directions three times a week: on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Lübeck, and on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday in the opposite direction between Malmö and Stockholm to Germany. 💠 Dangerous cargoes, waste and trailers with the P400 profile can be transported on this route. 💠 In addition, starting January 15, the service will offer bookings for domestic Swedish trailers and containers between Malmö Harbor via Norrköping and Stockholm and back. In particular, the Hallsberg, Norrköping and Rosersberg terminals located near Gothenburg, Malmö and Trelleborg will be available for such transportation. 🔊 "...we offer freight forwarders important one-stop shopping for continuous transportation services, including ferry services. So now it is easy to book intermodal transportation of a trailer from Barcelona to Stockholm, a distance of approximately 2,500 km, with reduced carbon emissions (...)," explains Kombiverkehr KG Managing Director Armin Riedl.
