Re-renna Necklace While not belonging to the volumetric jewelry typology, the necklace assembles the cutout silhouettes of the two versions of the V. Cervide rings. The silhouette of the animal's head and branching appendages, though highlighted in negative, is strongly perceptible, and the sequencing of the various modules creates a "crossing of antlers" that refers to the reindeer's combative character. The reindeer then is a herd-living animal, and the necklace seeks to make this characteristic explicit as well. Tria V. Necklace The necklace V. Tria develops from a pentagonal base. The "vertices" of the pentagon, however, are not defined by simple angles, but by scalene triangles. These triangles, with their sides of different lengths and their uncongruent angles, break the symmetry that at first glance might seem to be present. The apparent symmetry is thus negated, not only by the contrast, but by the very geometry itself. Bespoke jewelry. Part VI Planned design considerations... Most of the time, we will notice forced designed considerations between gemstones and their metal jeweled designs. Such are so inefficient and will create issues across the entire crafting process. A simple example might be when encircling a round or curved center gemstone with a unique halo created with straight edged (girdle) diamond models such as baguettes, carré or emerald cuts etc… Sure, normally the gem setter will cover the curvature gaps between the diamonds and their individual metal setting places, but at what efficiency rate and/or frustration? At the end of the day, all forced considerations will be visually noticed and physically felt as they disturb the flow of creations.
