Marketing and brand strategist | Crafting legacies through memoirs and marketing | Memoir Writing Workshops Coming 2025
What's stopping you from entering your event or your company for an award this season? You worked hard to produce a fantastic event. Now it’s time to get the recognition you deserve; you are ready to enter either the ACE Awards, which are more geared towards caterers, or the Gala Awards, which feature categories for all types of events and producers. Winning an award, and even receiving a nomination, has myriad benefits: * Build team morale within your company and with your creative partners * A nomination and win are tantamount to a third-party endorsement * The write-ups can be repurposed for content for months to come * It looks great in all your promotional material But, for some reason, the deadline comes and goes and so does another year for your chance to win an award. Why? As someone who has written, and judged, many awards over the years, I've addressed some common questions and concerns you might have have about entering awards in this article published today in Catersource. https://lnkd.in/gZP8NZfQ #awards #benefitsofawards #eventprofs

Hate to say it... but, sometimes doing something is worse than doing nothing (organizers - don't let that be a reason you just give up!). ICYMI, this Thursday's fast-paced, online session will help you see the top 10 exhibitor support red flags so you can avoid avoidable mistakes in your future efforts and start introducing the right programs (AKA getting your exhibitors the help they really need) sooner. ** Bonus: this webinar has officially been pre-approved for .75 CEM CE credits! That means, if you're a CEM and you attend live for the whole 45 minutes, we can get the credits added to your account after this session for you, without any extra hassle or stress :) #TradeShows #WorkSmarter #CEM #ContinuingEducation #ROI PS. I was going to wait until tomorrow to post this (because #AprilFools - ugh), but I know Monday's are a big day for scheduling and I don't want anyone to double book in the meantime - hope this helps!

🌊 Event Strategist & Consultant | Founder @ Blue Plaza Events | Member @ WXO - World Experience Organization
Freeman released their Q2 Trends Report, which focuses on exhibitors this time. There were a couple of things that stood out to me. Here's 1: "Offer predictable exhibitor packages: Help exhibitors feel confident about their event spend and their return by offering tiered, all-inclusive pricing. … Consider offering packages that include more than just exhibit space and align with other event goals, like networking and sharing thought leadership." This one surprised me, and I'd love to dig more into this in the future. I understand that exhibitors want to know what they're paying up front. This goes especially for smaller exhibitors who have less budget and may be less experienced at exhibiting (and the Freeman report shows that). However, I'd like to understand a bit more about how this translates to larger packages such as exhibit space AND sponsorships and what that could look like. I'm all for aligning with those other goals. This is something that I feel like I'd like to research, for sure. Anyone have thoughts about this? Let's discuss! #expohall #eventprofs

Ahhh it's awards season again. Lovely stuff. Don your dresses and tuxedos and come on down. Here's your guide as to whether you've got a chance of winning that 'best boutique something-or-other award' you entered or not: ⚫ Are you actually attending the swanky do? No. Oh. Chances of you winning the award = 0% ⚫ You paid for a single ticket. Tight arse. Chances of you winning the award = 5% ⚫ You paid for a whole table. Now we're talking. Chances of you winning the award = 65% ⚫ You paid for a table and sponsored the event in some way. Bloody legend. Chances of you winning the award = 95% ⚫ You paid for a table, sponsored the event AND the organisers owe you money for some work you've done for them. Say no more. Chances of you winning the award = 100% #marketingagencies #awardsseason #theymeannothing
