Insightful💡 "A public panel said that it would help young people gain a basic understanding of climate change, energy production, global issues and green job opportunities. Climate change should be a compulsory school subject in Scotland, according to a new report on how the government can better engage with people on the issue. Classes on climate was the top recommendation from a panel made up of 23 members of the public. They were randomly selected from across the country to join the Climate Change People’s Panel. “There needs to be within the curriculum climate change as a compulsory subject from primary and into high school and children should be involved in developing this," the report reads." The reason for climate education is really simple but necessary. People need to know what climate change is. An accurately informed global population is able to turn the tide of climate action, because they would even vote in the right leaders. Businesses and corporates run by climate literate people would change the course of action. Friends and families and normal social cultural events can influence the debate positively. I wrote a post on climate education, and what it entails. See more, #climatechange #climateaction #education #ace https://lnkd.in/dks4d6z

The effects are compounded for historically marginalized and low-income communities. Let's work towards a future where every child has access to a quality education despite the challenges posed by climate change. #Education #ClimateAction
