🚨Yesterday was National Autism Day & April is Autism Awareness Month🚨 *Long Post, Please Read National Autism Awareness Day is a special day for my family and I know many others. My daughter Katelyn works alongside kiddos with Autism. In collaboration with local restaurants Ciao Bella, Limoncello South, and Caffé Paradiso we have created an “Au-some” cocktail, mocktail & smoothie. They will be donating $1 for every “Au-some” drink purchased to The Upward Trend (Academy) located in New Smyrna Beach. Upward Trend Academy is a private school that provides individualized education to those in need. For those who would like to contribute in other ways, I have set up a fund that you can donate by clicking on rbi’s link; ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ http://spot.fund/719b6sc I am so proud of the foodie platform we have created and the community work we continue to do together. From Taco Bell Joe, to Jolly Dashers, to donating to Provision Packs, donating meals and aid to our local hurricane victims, providing financial support to local families, to putting a focus on Autism Awareness & Autism Acceptance…collectively we are making a difference in our community. Thank You!❣️ **As with many social movements, comes markers to identify these causes. For example, the pink ribbon represents Breast Cancer or a dove to peace & justice. Autism in the past has been resembled by the color blue as well as the puzzle piece designed by the National Autistic Society in 1963. We know that some may or may not agree with it. But like the world of Autism, selecting a symbol or color is a spectrum of choices. Whether one chooses to wear blue vs red or use a puzzle piece vs infinity sign, we support it. The main goal is to educate, prepare, aid awareness & ALWAYS encourage acceptance. #autismacceptance #autismawareness #april #community #kindness #acceptance

The April 2024 issue of Science in Autism Treatment is out. The Association for Science in Autism Treatment just celebrated its 25 th anniversary. For a quarter of a century, ASAT has been a trusted and reliable source of accurate and up-to-date information about autism and its treatments, as well as a strong advocate for accountability, transparency, and evidence in how people with autism/autistic people are supported with both competence and compassion. But we can’t do this vital work alone. We need your help to continue our mission and reach more people who can benefit from our many resources and offerings, which are all accessible free of charge. Help us continue our important work with a donation in any amount. Day 11: Autism and co-existing medical conditions During April #AutismActionMonth, my goal is to educate and this is an important one. Kids diagnosed with autism don't just have autism. In fact, kids with autism have on average 4.9 other diagnosed health issues. Health issues that often get explained away because they have autism. Let's be clear - when you have help and treatment for health issues you feel better and the true potential starts to show. Let's not make excuses and let's be curious. How can we help individuals facing autism? How can we see their true health and potential? You can help. We need to help these families. You can do that by sharing support and these #AutismFacts. No donation is too small. Every donation counts. Thank you. https://lnkd.in/gGtt_FV8

With the start of a new year, you might start to think about writing or amending your Will. After taking care of your loved ones, why not consider leaving a gift to a cause close to your heart? Many people who have a connection to autism choose to leave a legacy gift to Autism Unlimited. There are limited choices for young people with additional needs who need more support to transition into adulthood safely. That’s why we opened Futures – to help them move forward with their lives and reach their goals. Legacy donations can help us empower many more young adults to achieve their aspirations. Find out more and make a pledge by following this link: https://lnkd.in/e2V9BgSw #NewYear #LegacyGiving #GiftinWill #Neurodiversity #Autism #SEN #CharityGiving Image description: An image of two Learners with their coach, and text that reads: "Commit to change this year. Transform the future for young autistic adults. Leave a lasting legacy and make sure your loved ones are taken care of in the future."

Join Me in Making a Difference for Autism Awareness! Did you know that 70% of individuals with autism experience mental health challenges? Living in an environment that isn't autism-friendly can worsen these issues. I am participating in the Walk for Autism and committing to walking 7,000 steps a day (217,000 steps) throughout the month of May, to help fund trailblazing research on how we can best support Autistic people who experience mental health issues. By contributing to my fundraising efforts, you'll be supporting vital programs and services that enhance the lives of those living with autism. Here's how you can help: Donate: Every dollar counts and goes directly towards supporting autism research, education, and support services. Even a small contribution can make a big impact! Spread the Word: Share this post with your network and encourage others to get involved. Together, we can raise awareness and amplify our impact. Join Me: Join our Cushman & Wakefield team for the Walk for Autism. It's a fantastic opportunity to come together, show our support, and celebrate neurodiversity. https://lnkd.in/gAV936px Together, we can create a more inclusive and understanding world. #AutismSpectrumAustralia (Aspect) #WalkForAutism #Autism #Fundraiser #Neurodiversity

To continue the Autism Acceptance theme beyond April we have decided to be a part of Walk for Autism - seems like a wonderful initiative to not only raise money for support but also with the hope of more people becoming aware of what Autism is and how you can be in a better position to understand. 🤚🏽For those that would like to donate to our May walks please use link below 🤚🏽For those wanting to help raise awareness please repost Autism posts 🤚🏽For those looking for more information on understanding Autism these links are pretty cool sites - the youtube video gives a brilliant insight into sensory overload and is great way of demonstrating to those unaware why earpod sales for ASD people has risen so sharply and more importantly seeing what can cause a meltdown - BTW, its really not cool when you get the demonic glare from others who feel your child needs disciplining in these situations.... 👍🏽 https://lnkd.in/gzR5eP-W 👍🏽 https://lnkd.in/ggXFP5sN 👍🏽 https://lnkd.in/g6AcmRRY
