Director, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory

We were excited to bring our Mars expertise and discoveries to the Museum of Science and Multiverse Concert Series’ Mars Symphony, which premieres tonight. Congratulations and thank you to the museum team and composer David Ibbett, who collaborated with our NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory scientists to bring the symphony to life – we had the opportunity to recently welcome them to the Lab and meet with our experts to draw inspiration for the symphony. For decades, JPL has been at the forefront of Mars exploration – transforming our understanding of the red planet and bringing it from imagination to reality. The Mars Symphony uses real data and images from our missions and brilliantly translates them into music that tells the story of the rich history and our latest discoveries on Mars.
