Cock a doodle do 🐔 This is what I do: 🐔 I find careers not jobs. On average the Taylor-Miller hire is promoted after 2 years 🐔 87% of people I get to final interview accept the job and start it 🐔 The average Taylor-Miller gets promoted twice 🐔 94% of my business is repeat. Because I do what I say I’m going to do 🐔 53% of my animals are chickens And I’ve got 10 years working as Taylor-Miller Ltd to back this up. I don’t pretend to be an expert in what you do, I focus on being an expert at what I do. Finding the best people for your company. Because that’s what you need me to be 🐔 #fmcg #hiring #culture #chickens

Autumn is upon us which means a few weeks of perfect weather and the return of all things pumpkin spice. At Spectrum, we are especially pumped because, here in the northern hemisphere, this is the most active and productive time of year for many executives and hiring managers. They tend to prefer the shoulder seasons, between summer vacation and the winter hiring freeze. If you are among them, reach out and we’ll help you fill your jobs before the leaves have all fallen and the top talent is tapped out. If you’re among those seeking employment, reach out and we’ll help you prepare to harvest a job this hiring season. #spectrumrecruitingsolutions #utahrecruiters #manufacturingrecruiters #pumpkinspice #getpumped #pumpheads #autumn #fall #hiringseason #utahjobs #utahrecruiters #nowhiring

Closing out 2023 by sharing that in January, I'll be joining Chegg Inc. as an Employee Experience Program Manager! I was taught to think of job hunting not as a solo endeavor, but as an exercise in community organizing, so here's some of the people who helped make this possible! I can't possibly tag everyone because the reality is that each and every one of you who've sent me jobs or offered advice has helped me keep my head up in this brutal process, so please know that I appreciate you even if you don't see your name here. Job Hunting 101/Getting Organized/Early Stage Search - Josie L. for sharing critical tips like applying within 1-2 days of the job being posted and LinkedIn formatting advice - Kathy Pham for helping me redesign my website, and in doing so, refine/articulate my self-narrative - Joshua De Leon for a coffee chat that challenged me to think more expansively about where DEI is going in the future (which led me to think about other HR/People jobs) Applying for Chegg - Daniel Nguyen for reaching out two years ago, staying in touch, and helping me with a referral for this role - Jimin Shim, Jackie P., and Amanda McQuery for sharing your expertise around comms, employee experience, and onboarding to help me with my panel interviews - Barnes & Nobles in Irvine, CA😅 for having a great selection of HR and Employee Experience books that I speedread through in two days Emotional Support, Resume Review, and Swiftie Fan - Chelsea Chang for being the most supportive partner ever. Thank you for spoiling me with take-out and boba and KBBQ to celebrate each interview. I couldn't have done this without your help ❤️ For anyone else whose job-searching, I hope this is helpful in the sense of illuminating how many people might be out there for you to lean on too. This is definitely a group effort, so assemble your Avengers ✊ P.S. I'll also be moving up from my beloved SoCal home up to the Bay Area for this. If you're up there and want to get a coffee/boba, DM me! Excited to start building a new network up there :)

At Starkey, we aim to make the process as smooth as possible, with an HR team that is there to support you — prioritizing attitude and culture fit above credentials. Cheers to my colleague Dee Fletcher, SPHR for her phenomenal interview with Eden Prairie Local News (EPLN) about our hiring process at Starkey Hearing. Hi LinkedIn 👋 I figured it's been awhile, so why not reintroduce myself! My name is Tylir (She/Her) and I am a Senior Federal Recruiter. I've always had a passion for people and growing relationships — which is pretty much what recruiting encompasses. In my role at Cayuse I recruit for cleared candidates to support our government clients not only in the DMV but coast to coast and abroad as well. I love my job and getting to talk to people in a variety of fields, but I'm a bit of a workaholic and juggle a lot more than just my corporate career. 😅 Not many people in my work life know that outside of my 9-5 I run a micro farm in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We raise poultry, grow produce, cut flowers and herbs, and much more. Even though living the farm life is like working another full time job, especially during farmers market season, it helps me find a balance between work life and home life. Plus it keeps me active, which is sometimes hard to do when you're sat at a computer all day! 👩🌾 So, who else leads a "secret life" outside of work or has a side hustle? Let me know what you do outside of your 9-5 in the comments. 🤗 #SideHustle #Recruiter #Farmer #WorkLifeBalance

Where have all the jobs gone? that's what I am asked on a regular basis through out July, August and September. Our team at Catman Jobs who have specialised in FMCG category recruitment over the last 20 years put together what looks like a decent explanation. For those suffering "new opportunity oppression" in your hunt for the next role, I trust this helps. #nymancareeradvice #skillspaybills #fmcg #categoryrecruitment #recruitment #newjob
What happens in September? Loads of things actually. For some of the team at Catman Jobs the best bit is that the kids go back to school. Hurrrraaaah is the relief heard from many parents as they pack up the school bag and get the kids back into a routine. Others are packing up cars full of well " junk" as they take their "kids" to University with a world of possessions which look like they belong in a junk yard. And then there are the lucky ones who are jetting off to make the most of some end of season sun at cheaper prices than the standard holiday rush. Lucky them!! What does all this add up to in terms of recruitment? It busts the myth that everyone goes back to work on the 3rd September and loads of new roles appear on the market to feast your eyes on. It's a weird thing we have never understood in 20 years of recruiting category specialists in FMCG, how September is believed to be the big push moment. Our experience here at Paul Nyman Consultancy is that it normally starts to shape up with a bit more enthusiasm in early October. Just as the year end is looming and managers realise they need to crack on with building their teams. So if you are hunting for a new role right now and seek career support, don't get frustrated with lack of progress and rejections right. It will come. There is a role out there for everyone and the team here can help you source that whilst offering advice on how to grow your own skills for future success. If you need a CATch up ( get it ), then DM the team and we'll be happy to support where we can. In the meantime don't panic and pick something else to do if that role is not surfacing for you. as you can see in the illustration there is plenty to do We are off to have fun with our play doh and be creative! #catmanjobs #categorymanagement #jobs #recruitment #category #fmcg

Head Hunter I Recruitment Consultant I Team Manager I Leadership Hiring (emerging technologies, Fintechs) - VP-Finance, Director of Finance (B2C), Chief Financial Officer, Sr. Managers, Managers
In today's job jungle, where everyone's fighting for a spot, job hunters are like, "I'll do the hokey-pokey if it helps me get hired!" 🕺💼 They're pulling out all the stops just to be the neon unicorn in a sea of regular horses. Sure, putting some fictional flair on your resume might make you stand out, but it's like showing up to a fancy party in a clown suit. You'll definitely be noticed, but probably not for the right reasons! 🤡📝 Now, you're at work, and they're expecting you to pull rabbits out of hats like a wizard. It's like being a "dead man walking" down the enchanted office corridor. Abracadabra, anyone? 🎩✨ #ResumeFictionists #FabricationFails #Recruitment #Recruitmentprocess #Jobseekers #Jobhunters

I should have known.... When I was a kid - I watched the fishing channels on TV all the time. I pretty much taught myself how to fish growing up. I started off on the docks, then explored good areas to go off rocks, and when possible I made friends with people who had boats. It was all about researching, pacing the fishing section at Walmart, asking others and most importantly just getting out there. From this came an understanding of different techniques, lures, baits, equipment, locations, environments, etc + lots of great friendships. I recently found these cue cards that I made in 2000 as a 13 year old in an old tackle box. Back then I bought a fishing encyclopedia and crammed the info I needed from that on cue cards to have with me out on the water. This journey with fishing (still going strong), I believe, is where I really developed a lot of the skills I use daily in recruitment. I should have known... I'd become a recruiter. Researching new industries, skillsets, environments, building relationships - all with a focus on finding the best via an approach that produces results. Starboard Recruitment P.S. So far this Summer I've caught my first halibut, bass and pike. So the lessons continue! #recruiter #recruitment #hiring #fishing
