Did you know there are two main salt formations?: Bedded and domal. Bedded formations are inconsistent in thickness and shape, contain deformities that affect stability, and not highly compressed. Domal formations exist under a dome of highly stable bedrock. Learn the differences between the two main formation styles including the conditions that need to be met to successfully develop a salt dome in our latest #blogpost: https://loom.ly/6Rzxh2g #SaltDome #EnergyStorage #Hydrogen #H2

FGI Webinar: Reliability Analysis of Landfill Slopes June 11, 2024 at Noon CDT (live): https://lnkd.in/gvPmJ5Fa June 12, 2024 at Noon AEST (pre-recorded): https://lnkd.in/gwnwfhDz June 12, 2024 at Noon CAT (pre-recorded): https://lnkd.in/gZFa-u39 June 12, 2024 at 5 pm JST (pre-recorded): https://lnkd.in/gfP9brhh This webinar will propose a reliability analysis for geosynthetic lined landfill slopes that employs the procedure in Duncan (2000) and a variation of 5-15% in the input parameters to assess the sensitivity of each parameter. Additionally, a random distribution is introduced to accommodate uncertainty in: (1) shear displacements induced, and thus mobilized interface strength, in a bottom liner system, (2) waste unit weight, and (3) leachate level in the landfill to assess their impact on probability of failure. 1.0 PDH Presenters: Timothy D. Estimation of Potential Evapotranspiration using Earth2Observe Platform In this video, the steps required for downloading Potential Evapotranspiration (PET) in the Earth2Observe platform are described clearly. As you know, PET is one of the most important inputs of conceptual hydrologic models such as AWBM, TANK, and SimHyd. Follow my YouTube channel to find out more information about hydrological and water resources topics (https://lnkd.in/dnax3V_A). #hydrology #remotesensing #watermanagement #evaporation #rainfall #runoff #waterbalance #flood

Looking forward to work in the low-carbon cement | Doctoral degree holder from CEG - Anna University Chennai | Anna Centenary Research Fellow (2019-24).
#Morphology of #concrete portray the cuts and curvatures of hydrated system. This Picture is from #BSE #electronmicroscopy of 100% Slag sand matrix (M40-Grade). Therefore, the spider nest shaped Hadley Grains (Reticular Networking System) is formed due to low density #CSH which causes low transport mechanism of durability (RCPT, WP, WA & UPV) and lowering the strength of concrete. Professor and Head of the Hybrid Materials Laboratory | Complex Ceramic Architectures Additive Manufacturing
The bottom part of a water lily leaf. This structure is expanding into a water pond to gather all the available light and exterminate the competition. Its structure is a perfect example of #topologyoptimization for a mechanically stable opaque structure at the interface between a liquid and a gas. As many other bio-structures, I wonder why they are never perfectly symmetric

It's my pleasure to inform that our new experimental research paper is published. It's about the impacts of vortex blades on flow condition and discharge coefficient in stepped bell_mouth spillways. At the first part we elucidate how the phiscal model is developed. Second part, we illustrate about the model material. Third part, you can find the impacts of blades on the entrance flow Forth part, according to results, it offered an equation for Cd. Finally, our mission as engineers is to keep the cost low and manage water resources. #AWWA #BELL_MOUTH_SPILLWAYS #water_resource_management #water Roozbeh Aghamajidi Link to download: https://lnkd.in/gp2r2h8R
