Moments ago, former President Trump announced J. D. Vance as his VP pick. Our message to donors is this: Trump-Vance and Project 2025 are not inevitable. We can win in 2024 if we fund local organizing like we did in 2020. Post-debate, many have already given up hope and predicted a Red Wave in November. But if the last few weeks have taught us anything, it’s that the future is unwritten – and right now we have 112 days to write it. It’s not about the parties or the candidates on the ticket. It’s about a handful of voters in a handful of swing states, the issues that move them, and the local organizers who can mobilize them. The next four years will shape the next few decades. If you felt regret after 2016 because you knew you could have done more: Join us now in funding the largest ground game in history. ### MVP is a one-stop shop for strategically investing in local organizations that win elections and transform policy. Hi all! I wanted to give a quick election update to those who are watching the results and wondering where things stand. First, THANK YOU to everyone who voted, and an extra thank you to all who have supported this campaign. I was the first to enter this race over a month before filing week, and while the race suddenly got very crowded during filing week, I'm proud that together we: 👉 Raised the most in individual donations among all six candidates. 👉 Spent about half of what the top two spenders in the race each spent, who also each contributed over $25,000 of their own personal funds. 👉 Enabled me to knock on every one of over a thousand doors across the district myself. 👉 Attended every debate, forum, and event, as well as hosting publicly available meet and greets across the district. (The current top two vote-getters didn't even attend any debates or forums.) Now, where do we stand? We're less than 300 votes from second place and thus advancing to the general, and there are over 10,000 votes left to count. Elections staff have let the public know that only about half of all expected ballots have been counted, and that major count increases are expected Thurs. and Fri. afternoon, and even potentially Sat. as well. While statistically I'll admit it's not likely, it's also not not zero. There was a very small update today, and I gained the most percentage out of any candidate. We'll see what the next few days hold. Thanks for being a part of Bridging Our Future. -Jeff

Our mission at BallotReady is simple yet crucial: bridge the information gap for voters. With elections happening nearly every week across the US, staying informed can be challenging. That's where we come in. We believe an informed electorate is the cornerstone of a thriving democracy. By making election information easily accessible, we're working to empower every American to make their voice heard at the ballot box. https://on.ft.com/4eZPuU3

Voter suppression is real. Raise funds & get hype on calls but keep an eye on your state, city and district. Double and triple check that you’re registered to vote. Ensure you address matches across your ID and profile. Check the times, dates and locations of your polls. Have back up plans for transportation. Save up funds if you have to take the entire day off to stand in line. Attend local meetings to gain insight. The rules are being changed. If VP Harris wins by popular vote, history has proven that red and swing states ran by right wing conservatives will not fight fair. Pay attention. https://lnkd.in/eyBsBpCS

How did we get here? The 2024 election cycle has shown just how destabilizing big money influence can be to our political system—and it’s only going to get worse if left unaddressed. Read our CEO Jeff Clements' recent op-ed in Newsweek on how the current campaign finance system has successfully allowed a small minority of major donors to wield disproportionate power, silencing the voices of everyday Americans—and how the For Our Freedom Amendment is our durable solution. I keep hearing this and the prevailing wisdom is 100% FALSE! Here is how it goes: "I am afraid that the election will cause donors to give less" This fear is logical right? The election takes a disproportionate amount of ‘headspace’. It creates vast amounts of noise. And the candidates fundraise hard! Everyone must be giving to them! “So, am I right to be worried”? No! In-fact you are not. 👉 Fundraising in an election year DOES NOT cause donors to give less. 👉 In fact, it provides a strategic opportunity to raise more. The greatest impediment to fundraising in an election year is…YOU. If you want to learn how to crush your goals in an election year you need to stop what you are doing and read our most recent report. You will see concrete data, read stories and see how you can go from fearful to fearless. Your mission needs you in 2024!! Here is how you get it--click on "visit my blog" above. ☝ ☝ ☝ Its the first article! Hope this helps to get rid of the myths of fundraising in an election year!

Washington, DC — On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled that former presidents have broad immunity from prosecution for criminal acts in their official presidential capacity. Movement Voter PAC, which helps Democratic and progressive donors invest in local voter organizing groups in swing states, released this statement: “This ruling means the stakes of this election just got higher. If Trump wins, the most vulnerable will suffer the most. So here is our message to anti-Trump donors: Do not despair – double down and invest in the ground game like our democracy depends on it.” “Since Biden’s debate performance, some have said they’re not donating until Biden drops out. Others have said they’re not donating until everyone stands firm with him. Both only help Trump, and misgauge how we defeat him: Investing in peer-to-peer voter engagement by grassroots organizing groups. “Regardless of this ruling and no matter who is on the Democratic ticket, the math and the strategy stay the same: Target the swing states, invest in the organizing groups that can mobilize the hardest-to-reach Democratic voters, and do it now while every dollar yields more votes. “Join us so that, the morning after the election, we can rejoice in having won by a fraction of a percentage point, instead of regret in having lost by that same margin.” ### MVP is a one-stop shop for strategically investing in local organizations that win elections and transform policy.
