🚀 First Medium Article Published! 🚀 Dear Friends and Colleagues, 🚦 The #AWS #UserGroup #Vienna is thrilled to kick off the #meetup season on January 23rd at the Red Hat office with a captivating #ReInvent #ReCap. 📖 To mark the beginning of 2024, I've penned a "From 0 to Hero or How to Deliver Yourself to the Meetup Talk" #Medium #LongRead. This post provides an insider's view into my journey, starting from ground zero, leading up to my talk at the AWS Meetup hosted by APA-IT Informations Technologie GmbH last November. 🎯 In this post, I share the profound impact of community in my life, recounting my journey from meeting Volodymyr Kondratenko to relocating to Vienna. I delve into how I studied Amazon Web Services (AWS) through Denis Astahov's courses, connected with Linda Mohamed and the team, and actively participated in the AWS User Group and other community activities in 2023. 📢 But that's not all! The post includes crucial highlights and practical tips on why, how, and where you can deliver your talk to IT communities. I cover all stages – from generating ideas and preparation to finding the perfect stage, navigating the presentation process, and what to do after the talk. This is why it was written. 🤗 I believe my experiences and insights will be valuable to anyone considering or interested in giving a talk. I'm eager to hear your opinions and thoughts! 👀 Read the full post here: https://lnkd.in/eZdV4cXJ 😻 Looking forward to your feedback and let's keep the conversation going! Really interesting talk about ARG. The talk gave a good understanding of Azure Resource Graph's workings and Mika definitely made a case for its usability and usefulness. Going into today's meetup, it was not the tool I had on my radar, but now it definitely is. Thanks a lot for the insights.
Meetup #23 is ongoing at Elisa!! First up Senior Technical Architect Mika Vilpo talking about Azure Resource Graph! #elisa #azureandfriends #meetup #community

Navigating the IaC Dilemma - Reflections from the Meetup: Yesterday, I attended an insightful conference hosted by ControlMonkey at the AWS Israel offices (28Floor) on the challenges around infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform. Here are some key thoughts on the dilemma we face: As #DevOps Engineers, most of us use #Terraform almost daily as our infrastructure-as-code tool of choice. So, when HashiCorp announced licensing changes, it quickly grabbed our attention - directly impacting our workflows. We aren’t lawyers focused on debating commercial vs open source licenses. We just want to code, drive change, and deliver value. Yet relying on a core proprietary tool presents very real vendor locking challenges. In response, the open-source OpenTofu project was created as an alternative approach. As CTO Ori Yemini explained, it aims to offer a simpler path to migrate from Terraform and avoid lock-in risks going forward. The expert panel that followed also provided fantastic perspectives: Lior Bachar of Via, David Mark of Orca Security, and Amir Groisman of Forescount fielded tough questions around drift management, multi-account environments, and more that we grapple with daily. Above all, huge thanks to ControlMonkey CEO Aharon Twizer for organizing this timely event and framing the challenges so clearly. It was highly valuable to connect with the brilliant minds advancing #Cloud and DevOps best practices here in Israel. I look forward to more such meetups that tackle key technology dilemmas on the horizon. Discussing these complex challenges matters, but our community and solutions-focused spirit matters even more. Let me know what you think about it, and have a great weekend :)

Our team at Invdev was particularly impressed by the presentations on Amplify at the AWS Summit in London last Wednesday! Amplify is a tool that streamlines the development and deployment of full-stack applications. 🔧 Junior Developer Apprentice, Rob Buckley, was particularly interested in how Amplify can "seamlessly coordinate various AWS services under the hood." This could be a game-changer for developers who want to focus on building features without getting bogged down in infrastructure. See what Rob had to say in terms of AWS’ Amplify! 👇 #AWS #AWSSummitLondon2024 #AWSAmplify #AWSDeveloper #FullStack #Development #Deployment #TechSummit #LondonTech #Innovation #Infrastructure #DeveloperTools #JuniorDeveloper #TechInsights #Invdev #ForWhenItReallyMatters

#100DaysOfKubernetes Journey: Day 3 Greetings LinkedIn community! Today's dive into Kubernetes on Day 3 was both exhilarating and enlightening, focusing on the intricate world of networking within the cluster. Exploration Highlights: 1. Understanding Services: Explored the pivotal role of Kubernetes Services, a linchpin for inter-pod communication. Services act as stable endpoints, facilitating seamless interaction among pods within the cluster. The realization of how this abstraction simplifies the complex network landscape was truly enlightening. 2. Ingress Controllers Unveiled: Ventured into the realm of Ingress controllers, a key player in managing external access to services. Ingress allows us to define rules for routing external traffic, providing a structured approach to handling incoming requests. The power of Ingress lies in its ability to efficiently manage traffic flow, contributing significantly to cluster accessibility. Hands-On Insights: - Navigated the creation of a Kubernetes Service to act as a communication facilitator among pods. - Delved into the deployment of an Ingress controller to manage external access, shaping the pathway for seamless traffic flow. Challenges Overcome: Encountered and triumphed over challenges related to service discovery and routing complexities. These hurdles underscored the importance of hands-on problem-solving, a crucial aspect of mastering Kubernetes networking intricacies. Key Takeaway: Networking forms the backbone of Kubernetes, and Services along with Ingress controllers serve as its pillars. A robust understanding of these elements is indispensable for orchestrating the flow of data within and outside the cluster. Next Exploration: Persistent Storage: With a solid grasp of networking, my journey now leads me to explore the realm of persistent storage in Kubernetes. Excitement builds as I prepare to uncover how data is managed and sustained within containerized applications. Join me as I continue this enriching journey. Let's connect, share insights, and learn collaboratively! #KubernetesJourney #Day3 #TechLearning #DevOpsCommunity #DevOpsOpportunity #AWS
