Last week, one of the most powerful committees in Congress, the Senate Finance Committee, held a hearing exploring possible federal approaches to solving the child care crisis. This acknowledgment by the Senate signals a pivotal shift in recognizing the struggles that countless moms face every single day, and is a clear indicator that our voices are being heard. Although they couldn't agree on whether Congress should take action at all — they opened up the floor to everyday Americans to be part of the official committee record. That’s where we come in. On July 22, Moms First will submit a statement on behalf of this grassroots movement  — and we want your voices, the voices of American moms, to be heard. This Senate hearing is a crucial step towards addressing the child care crisis. It's vital that we seize this opportunity to share our experiences and advocate for meaningful change. Our collective voices can drive the policies we need.
