We imagine a future of mobility that cares for all of the world’s precious biodiversity. May 22nd is sanctioned by the United Nations (UN) as Biodiversity Day, dedicated to the learning and preserving of biodiversity. Since 2023, we’ve been carrying out ESG activities in Jincheon’s Miho River in Korea for this important opportunity for eco-friendly social contribution. This year on the 22nd, we hosted bio exploration activities as well as special lectures with executives and employees, related to restoration and conservation. Along with a biodiversity lecture, we had a chance to collect information on all the species living in the area in order to transform the knowledge into useful data. The studied organisms included plants, insects, fish, algae, mammals, and amphibians. Furthermore, this year’s event was part of a 3-stage plan, ensuring the program’s sustainable support for biodiversity beyond a one-time event. Our commitment to Biodiversity Day represents a small part of our ambitious green vision in general. As the first Korean company in the industry to join RE100, our aim is to join the efforts to build a world with 100% renewable energy. Additionally, with strategies such as Green Transformation to 2045 Net-Zero, protecting the health of people, animals, and the environment are at the forefront of how we contribute to society. With looming threats to the Earth’s wellness such as global warming and dwindling animal and plant species, building back a biodiverse and healthy ecosystem is crucial in securing a brighter future for all. #BiodiversityDay #ESG #TheOneforAllMobility #HyundaiMOBIS #MOBIS
