(GUVNL) has reserved 16 Pumped Hydro Storage Sites for allocation under a competitive bidding process. These sites have an aggregate potential capacity of 14.210 GW! ⚡ This development will enable Gujarat to full-fill its vision to add another 100 GW of renewable energy, maintaining its leading position in the country. 🌟🏆 Moreover, this will greatly foster the state's ambition to become net-zero well ahead of India's vision of net-zero by 2070. 🌍💚 This is fantastic news not only for the State Public DISCOMs but also for the system operators who will benefit greatly from this advancement. 📈 🏔 👏 Let's celebrate this significant step towards a sustainable and resilient energy future! At the 4th Global RE-INVEST inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi on 16th September 2024 at Gandhinagar Gujarat, #NHPC CMD Shri R.K. Chaudhary signed over Letters of Commitment in presence of Hon’ble Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Shri Pralhad Joshi asserting NHPC’s aim to install 16,700 MW of renewable energy and produce 500 MT/year of Green Hydrogen by 2030, with an investment of ₹80,000 crore.
