FourPhase has successfully deployed another #DualFlow desander system in the Americas Region, successfully restoring 20MMcf of gas per day. The well was previously shut-in for several years due to solids production. All erosion risk has been monitored and found to be of least concern. With this data, the operator will now be looking to deploy more units across their operations. This will help prevent early abandonment costs and leaving resources stranded in the reservoir. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄, 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽, 𝗨𝗹𝘁𝗿𝗮-𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽, 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗹𝗹 #𝗚𝗲𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀 For a couple of client projects, we are back looking at #drilling costs for #geothermal wells in an area where there is no real recent experience of drilling deep (> 500 m) geothermal development wells. At Causeway Energies we remain interested in all depths in the sectors/geographies we are working in, including shallow opportunities less than 500 m. But it was interesting to remind ourselves of the well cost frame presented by Lowry et al. in 2017. Their data rich analysis of well costs, both oil and gas and geothermal, remains a strong go-to for predictive models of baseline (1st well) to ideal (Nth well). Fo grins 😁 , I've plotted the recent performance data from Fervo Energy's Project Red and Cape Station EGS Projects on the Lowry et al plot, with the wells labelled 1 to 8. Sure enough, Fervo have demonstrated what can be done with the latest tech and a systematic approach to continuous improvement, in a very tough environment. Can Fervo hit the Ideal curve? I'm cheering them on.
