2moThe locals seem to know their stuff when it comes to preparing for actual losses “a roof can get fixed, a tree can get taken down, but a life cannot be replaced”. Financial bodies preparing for monetary losses is the least we should be concerned about at the moment. Preparing for evacuations, helping the vulnerable communities (elderly, disabled, sick, etc.) and the protection of life and safety is the primary concern. Information that supports the preparedness and safety of US citizens needs to be disseminated widely to support networks on the ground for the non-financial losses.
