We recently held our Q1 Review/Q2 Preview Meeting in-house, and it was a fantastic opportunity to align our team with our long-term vision. We revisited our 10-year, 3-year, and 1-year plans to ensure everyone understands our goals and direction. We also took the time to review our quarterly goals and objectives, celebrating our wins, birthdays, and work anniversaries. These meetings are essential for keeping our team motivated and focused on our mission. Celebrating these milestones and successes reminds us of the incredible work our team does every day. It's not just about setting and achieving goals; it's about building a culture of recognition and growth. When I was 15 years old I was absolutely sure I knew everything. When Reilly Partners turned 15 in January 2020 we were pretty sure we did too. After all, many of the most respected and successful companies in the world were regularly trusting us to help them recruit and build their leadership teams. Fast forward to today as we celebrate our 19th year in business and I’m realizing how much we didn’t know and how much we've learned over the last four years:   - We learned the deliberate, thoughtful effort it takes to effectively function as a team in a hybrid world.  - We learned how to listen more closely and ask better questions in order to understand and deliver on our client's needs.  - We learned how to attract, develop, retain, and in some cases even recruit back our own people in a hyper competitive market for talent.  - We learned the importance of adapting, evolving and working to find new solutions every singe day, in order to deliver the quality and consistency our clients demand.    The world slowed down for a bit, only to catch its breath and take off moving faster than ever. I imagine it left some behind. But at Reilly Partners, we are in a full sprint, working with many of the same world class clients who have trusted us for years, and several new ones. We are stronger, faster, smarter and better than ever.    I'm proud to have been a part of this Reilly Partners team for 15 of our 19 years - especially now, knowing the best years are ahead of us.    Thank you to each and every client who has put their trust in us. It's the 🥇 year anniversary of being let go with no severance or notice (full company closure). No cap, these experiences were game-changers in how I do business today. First up, shoutout to StevenDouglas! Man, they showed me the ropes on how to vibe with everyone on the team. If you think "teamwork makes the dream work" is just a cliché, you haven't worked with these folks. I built relationships with people who are the most honest and kind people I have ever worked with. Plus, gotta give props to the bosses over there for being mad cool. 👊 They try really hard not to discourage you, and they built a company that has very loyal employees. All good people!!! Then there's ProsourceIT. I would say this is the place that helped me make my bones in South Florida. They were still on the come-up when I was there, which was clutch. Gave me the chance to flex my skills in a bunch of different roles. The diversity in what I was doing? Boosted my confidence like a 4th-quarter comeback. 🏀 Onto TalentoHCM, the masters of client focus. I learned the art of giving clients the VIP treatment—so much so, they had clients stick with them exclusively. That's how you make fans, not just clients! Last but definitely not least, big love to Ascent Services Group. Talk about hustle culture; these cats don't play. They instilled in me the "always be grinding" mentality that's the lifeblood of my work ethic to this day. So, yeah, I have mad respect and love for all the companies I've been with. 😲They lost another superstar… Someone I know very well left an organisation they had been with for over 20 years yesterday. This person is the hardest worker I know, they were completely committed to the mission, they put themselves last, they always looked out for their teammates, had a smile on their face and had a depth of resilience even in the face of some pretty horrible internal and external experiences. However, the organisation barely recognised their contribution, never said thank you, never listened to ideas to improve service. Employees came a clear last in their priorities. Eventually this superstar realised enough was enough, and was quickly snapped up by another organisation. The lesson here: treat your people like humans, make time once a month for a private conversation, understand their perspective, recognise effort, don’t let your ego dismiss constructive feedback as negativity, hear what is being said and TAKE ACTION! If not you will lose your best people, you will not attract good replacements and rot will set into your organisation. This is not difficult but it is critical AND is often underinvested. What has stood out most is the unwavering commitment of the team to both personal and collective growth. One of the most fulfilling aspects of my job, is the opportunity to engage in conversations about the importance of fostering workplaces where employees can bring their authentic selves. It's about creating a culture of care and ensuring everyone feels a profound sense of belonging. Amid the turbulent events of these recent weeks, it's impossible not to be affected. Adhering to "business as usual" has been a challenge, and maintaining focus hasn't been easy. The world has presented us with an array of emotions, from empathy to sadness, yet it continues to spin. I share these feelings to emphasize the value of working for an organization with a genuine, supportive culture. Joining Terryberry in these trying times wasn't what I had initially envisioned. My mind and heart have often been in different places. However, every day at 8:30 am, I'm greeted by smiles during our team meetings – a moment that has become a cherished mental reset. Throughout the day, I've connected with colleagues who truly embody the Terryberry culture. When they say, "Let me know if you need anything," it's not just a formality; it's a heartfelt commitment. So, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of my journey at Terryberry so far.
