Why settle for being a good communicator when you can be what Charles Duhigg calls a “supercommunicator?” In this episode of ‘Think Fast, Talk Smart,’ he shares how to take your #communication skills to the max. Duhigg is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author, and in his latest book, ‘Supercommunicators: How to Unlock the Secret Language of Connection,’ he explores why some people seem to connect so well with others and the tools they use to foster more meaningful communication. According to Duhigg, most conversations fall into one of three buckets: practical, emotional, or social. The problem for many people is that they don’t know which kind of conversation they’re in, which makes connection difficult to achieve. Supercommunicators, on the other hand, are experts at identifying different conversation types and adapting to them in the moment. “Supercommunicators seem to notice what kind of conversation is going on,” Duhigg says. “They’ve trained themselves to look for the little clues or cues.” In this episode of ‘Think Fast, Talk Smart,’ Duhigg and host Matt Abrahams explore how all of us can become supercommunicators by practicing active listening, looping for understanding, and identifying someone’s true feelings beneath their words. #podcast https://lnkd.in/gJGZZPad
