The choice of alcohol is not essential when creating a cocktail. At Mind Spirits, that's not how we approach cocktail creation. The choice of alcohol is more than crucial. It's the cornerstone that defines the very essence of your drink, a flavor imprint that captures attention and awakens the senses. At Mind Spirits, we believe that each drop of alcohol is a note in a symphony of flavors. That's why we take special care in selecting our spirits, and our Fig Gin stands out as a blank canvas for crafting exceptional cocktails. #Cocktails #Figgin

Should you add water to your whisky? While many people gravitate towards drinking whiskey neat, as it’s widely done by a lot of whiskey lovers, adding a few drops of water to whiskey can help enhance its aromas and flavours. Here’s why professional tasters add water to their whisky: 1️⃣ Adding a small amount of water to whisky can help avoid palate fatigue, especially important for those who plan to taste multiple whiskies in one sitting. This is because water can dilate the flavors, making it easier for your taste buds to reset between tastings. 2️⃣ A few drops of water can reveal more aromas in the whisky. No, you don’t need to add an entire glass of water, that would take away the beauty of the whiskey. However, a few drops would work just great! How do you drink your whiskey? Let me know in the comments below! Cheers 🥂 #sonalholland #masterofwine #whiskytips #whiskytasting #whiskylovers #whiskey

Hi, my company, Sunshine Consulting, hosts Team-Building Cocktail and Mixology Experiences. Virtual and In-Person.
The Secret to Cocktail Magic: It's All About Balance! ✨ Ever wonder how bartenders whip up those consistently delicious cocktails? It's all about the magic formula: spirit, citrus, and sweet in perfect harmony! Here's the key to unlocking your inner mixologist: The Golden Ratio: 2 oz Spirit: This is your base, the heart of the drink. Gin, vodka, tequila, rum - the possibilities are endless! 3/4 oz Sweet: Simple syrup, liqueurs, flavored syrups - add a touch of sweetness to round out the flavors. 3/4 oz Citrus: Freshly squeezed lime, lemon, grapefruit - a burst of citrus brightens the drink and cuts through the spirit. Pro Tip: Measure it Out! ⚖️ Using a jigger or bar spoon ensures consistent flavor every single time. No more "eyeballing" it and ending up with a cocktail that's too sweet or sour. The Shake-Up: Combine all your ingredients with ice in a shaker, give it a good shake (think rockstar, not sleepy arm swing), and strain into a fresh ice-filled glass. Voila! A perfectly balanced masterpiece ready to impress your taste buds (and maybe your friends). Now get mixing and share your creations! Tag us and use #SunshineMixology #CocktailMagic #BalanceIsKey #TheGoldenRatio #MixologyMadeEasy #SunshineConsulting #CrystalMN

Don't gulp your whisky, instead sip it Drinking whisky the right way can elevate your whisky experience and help you appreciate the layers of flavours that lie within your beverage. We always recommend adding just a few drops of water to your whisky to open it up and smoothen its texture. Also see if you can get your hands on a tulip glass with a bowl that guides the aromas to concentrate near its narrow rim, as it will help you appreciate all the delicate aromas in your drink. Here are 3 tips to enjoy your whisky: Gently swirl the whisky in your glass so that the excess alcohol evaporates and gives your drink a smoother taste. Sniff your whisky three times, bringing your nose closer to the glass each time to appreciate its aromas. Take small sips of your whisky and let it coat every part of your mouth. Always remember to take sips of water while drinking whisky to cleanse your palate and stay sober. Share this video with your whisky-loving friends and don't forget to follow us. Cheers! #sonalholland #masterofwine #whiakytasting #whiskylovers #whiskytips #wineexpert #alcohol

All of our cocktails come pre-mixed so they’re ready to shake, pour and enjoy. We take our mixology very seriously, which is why our drinks always comprise of three key components: Base – the spirit on which the cocktail is based such as rum, vodka or whisky. Modifier – the ingredient added to the base to give the drink character and tone down the potency. Popular examples include fruit juices, cream, vermouth and Champagne. Flavouring – these give the drink a finishing touch to enhance its taste and appearance. Bitters and syrups such as Grenadine are often used because of their taste and vibrant colours. #cocktails #mixologists #cocktails #cocktailgifts #gift #giftideas

Ever wondered why some cocktails are shaken while others are stirred? Let’s break it down! Shaking a cocktail is all about that vigorous energy. When you shake, you not only mix the ingredients but also chill and dilute your drink faster — think 15 seconds of shaking versus 90 seconds of stirring. Plus, shaking introduces air, giving your cocktail a frothy texture that’s perfect for drinks like Margaritas and Whiskey Sours 💫 On the flip side, stirring is a gentler approach. It’s ideal for spirit-forward cocktails like Martinis and Manhattans, where you want to maintain that crystal-clear appearance. Stirring cools and dilutes the drink without adding air, resulting in a smooth, silky texture that showcases the flavors of high-quality spirits 🌟 So, next time you're behind the bar, remember: shake it for froth, stir it for clarity. In addition to the right technique, you also need the right spirits — check out our Lineup: https://lnkd.in/dXyv5cdJ #HollywoodDistillery #ArtisanalSpirits #Mixology #Shaking #Stirring

Myths about Whiskey While it is mostly believed that Whiskey can be either consumed neat or on the rocks, it is a very common myth that this is the only way to consume it. In fact, premium Whiskey is designed with versatile flavours, making them ideal for mixing in cocktails. There has been a constant debate about whether blended whiskeys can match up to pure blends. However, the truth is that creating the perfect blended whisk is more of an art than science. If done perfectly, blended Whiskey can be satisfying giving a flavourful drinking experience. There is a popular belief that Whiskey is a winter drink; however, this is not true at all as it can be also a perfect summer drink with combinations like Whiskey Sour, Bourbon Peach Tea, Irish Coffee Milkshake or a simple Whiskey lemonade. These can be a perfect option for a hot summer evening or weekend party. Another common misconception about Whiskey is that all of them taste the same. This is not true at all as each drink has its own set of complexities with unique notes, when tasted neat or mixed with the right element can make a great drink

3 reasons why you should drink spirits neat: Number 1: You bought a high quality expensive whisky, like a highly aged single malt scotch, and want to appreciate the craftsmanship and nuanced flavours in your drink. Number 2: Your spirit has been through a unique distillation process which gives it extra flavours. Number 3: You're having a spirit that has been aged, giving it layers upon layers of flavours. The best way to enjoy a drink neat is to take small sips at a leisurely pace so that you appreciate all its aspects. Remember to sip on water between every few sips of whisky to stay hydrated and reset your palate. Here's an important tip: Drinking spirits neat means pouring them straight into your glass from the bottle, and drinking them at room temperature. Chilling the spirit before serving it, or stirring it with ice and then straining it in your glass will not count as drinking it neat. A temperature change will impact the taste of your drink. What spirits do you like drinking neat? Tell us in the comments section below. #sonalholland #masterofwine #spirits #whisky #whiskey #alcoholtips #winetips #wineexpert
