It's a trend I'm enjoying a lot. We just need to make sure now that we bring anyone in 'persuadables' camp along too-in the form of real life benefits to lives today and not purely for the cause of Net Zero. Based on the tone from Ed Miliband and with experts like Chris, this feels like a real opportunity to make that shift happen. And it sounds like The Carbon Trust have been super supportive too... 👏

This is a genius move, along with James Timpson at Justice and scrapping the on shore wind farm ban, is a very encouraging sign of things to come, maybe just maybe we do have a brighter future…

Given his work at CCC, I can’t think of anyone better placed to know the actions needed on both the supply and demand side of the energy system to move us beyond gas and oil and forward into an era of clean, affordable and locally generated energy. Great appointment.

    There is much for the government to do to deliver an effective border post Brexit. This includes introducing the remaining import controls and improving the efficiency at which traders can move goods across the UK border. The major border programmes are expected to cost government £4.7 billion with 2.6 billion having been spent already. There are also further costs associated with the burden to traders to comply with the new regime and other elements.

    SAFE Releases Data on International Trade in Goods and Services of China in December 2023 In December 2023, the export and import of China’s international trade in goods and services totalled RMB 4339.1 billion, up 2 percent over the same time last year. Of this, the export of goods recorded RMB 2056.8 billion and the import recorded RMB 1646.8 billion, resulting in a surplus of RMB 409.9 billion. The export of services recorded RMB 228.0 billion and the import recorded RMB 407.6 billion, resulting in a deficit of RMB 179.6 billion. In terms of the major items, the export and import of travel, transport, other business services, telecommunications, computer and information services registered RMB 171.1 billion, RMB 158.8 billion, RMB 122.6 billion and RMB 67.4 billion respectively. #trade #SAFE #data
