South Carolina’s Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester county regional economy should be on the minds of the Charleston Regional Business Alliance (CRDA) along with the the Mark Clark Extension (526). This should help : https://lnkd.in/eNRpsxrb The simple but direct question is, "Where do we put all the additional water?" The answer leads to decisions that precipitate the needed action. The absence is the decision to let nature's random actions be the single most important factor of our economic bellwether, CRDA.   And if the elevated risks lack realistic and persuasive responses, "What will you do?"   Holding back, choosing to intentionally take the hits randomly, and selectively implementing local “rebuild back better” recovery programs afterward will likely not garner the needed scaled investments without even more significant incentives or subsidies to offset the inherent risk, thereby challenging the favorable tax and cost structures.   What is before many of us is not a political red-blue question. However, it can be cast that way as a diversion from the still substantive, unaddressed pathway that needs to be articulated well to secure the big five: AEROSPACE, AUTOMOTIVE, INFO TECH, LIFE SCIENCES, and LOGISTICS, along with MOTHER NATURE, will not be fooled.
