If you're an Anterior Hip Surgeon you've probably deliberated between using a leg holding table (eg Hana, Amis) for the elegance and ease of exposure vs going "off table" for better ability to assess leg length as this can be quite difficult with the operative leg held in a traction boot. You may also also have tried accessory technologies such as Intellijoint, Velys, Naviswiss or Orthogrid. The solution which I came up with is a redesign of the standard Amis table to house a standard x-ray cassette within body of the table. This can get pulled out when required (below the sterile field) to allow me to obtain a standard pelvis x-ray intraoperatively. This new table is called the AmisX. My hospitals only have fluoroscopy (image intensifier) machines with 9-12 inch small field of views so I can only get an ipsilateral view with fluoro and fluoro is subject to parallax error. Most hospitals have portable x-ray machines. A full pelvis x-ray gives me confidence re comparative length. The attached is from a recent case. Final implant position needed some minor finessing but to keep radiation exposure down I usually just get 1 x-ray shot and then make minor tweaks and don't xray again.
