I'd encourage everyone to checkout Copilot in your M365 apps and Bing. I'm using it every day to improve how I find the answers and content that I need, especially in Teams and Edge. I've found it useful to use a chat session to continue to refine the results or target new areas. Just recently, I was reporting a status and had someone question whether the status was correct. The update I had given was based on a status update I had gotten from a Program Manager in the last week or so; but given the pushback, I wanted to verify that I had heard it correctly. A year ago, this would have meant searching Outlook for emails and figuring out what meetings I was in with the Program Manager and then reviewing recordings or transcripts to find the status. Yesterday, I used Copilot to provide a list of any status updates that the Program Manager had given about the project over the last week. I had the answer in 20 seconds instead of the 20 minutes that it likely would have taken me a year ago. A recent non-work example was using Copilot to help identify potential vacation destinations. A recent example was asking Copilot to setup a 7-day vacation to Hawaii. The results were good; but I wanted to check out two different cities, so I continued the chat by asking Copilot to split up the trip between those two cities and again the results were good; but I also wanted to hike. So, I asked Copilot to pick 3 hikes that were near the destinations or on the drive between destinations. Copilot returned a couple of short hikes that were less than a mile. I wanted to step it up, so I asked for hikes between 3 and 6 miles with less than 2500 feet of elevation gain. To finish off, I asked Copilot to provide a complete day-by-day itinerary including the hike distances and elevation gains, along with the driving distances to each destination. I was really impressed with the results, and it gave me a result that would have taken hours to research. I hope you find it useful as well.
