Architects, you could hide under the bed. You might resist, kicking and screaming as it happens. But change is going to get you whether you like it or not. So what to do? → within given boundaries, give your team greater agency to experiment and try some changes. → be willing give them the space to fail and iterate, like scientists. → use these experiments to identify those things that can be done better or differently in your practice, to adapt and adjust to the changes you see and anticipate. → Try engaging in new ways of leading and working with each other. So that you might begin to develop ideas faster and promote a new vision, to benefit of the practice and its evolution. You got this. As an introverted architect, I once found solace in solitary creativity but struggled to connect with others.
