Time to upgrade? "You need to determine the long-term goal of establishing your greenhouse environment. If there are specific changes you feel need to be made with regard to heating, ventilation, or lighting, a renovation plan may not be possible. "Of course, you could choose to both renovate and build new." That's what we did when we worked with Maria Gardens Greenhouses in Ohio on an expansion plan. "They had a goal to both renovate and build new every year," LLK CEO Shawn Brown said. "They gave us their budget, and we came up with a plan that involved adding an acre of new greenhouse space and renovating roughly the same amount." Christmas decoration - how it could be done sustainably 1. Daytime décor: Use red bows or native plants like Christmas bush. 2. Window displays: Avoid trapping animals by placing lights in windows. 3. Curtains at bedtime: Close them to prevent indoor lights from disturbing animals. 4. Limited lighting: Use timers for a short period, avoiding dusk or dawn. 5. Warm colors: Opt for amber or red lights to reduce harm to wildlife. 6. Low-intensity: Choose lights for aesthetics, not brightness. 7. Spotlight direction: Angle down, focus, and use shields to avoid light pollution. 8. Minimize camping lights: Protect wildlife, especially young seabirds and turtles. https://lnkd.in/e8MdVTDX #Christmas #sustainability #lighting #decoration #illumination #lightpollution #conversation
