In line with the last month post regarding publishing the new guide for chemical sector. Now, we (Ricardo plc) with the support of the Chemical Industries Association, has published a new guide, ‘Establishing the environmental impact of chemical products’, to help chemical organizations advance their sustainability journey. This guidance will enable stakeholders to gain a deeper understanding of the significance of LCAs and the prominent role they have to play in driving sustainable innovation. #Collaboration is essential to create a world with fully circular plastics. That's why it's great to see our #partners talking about the crucial role of chemical recycling in achieving these #circular ambitions.   Mirjam Mayer, leading Borealis’ entire Circular Economy Solutions (#CES) value chain since 1 January 2024, states the importance of regulation clarity to advance chemical recycling in a recent interview with Sustainable Plastics. In the interview she also mentions how #BlueAlp plays a role in Borealis’ circular ambitions and its complementarity to mechanical recycling:   "[Borealis] holds a majority stake in Belgian recycling company Renasci Oostende, […] which uses BlueAlp low-energy slow cracking technology to produce #pyrolysis oil.'' “Right now, our priority at Renasci is the chemical recycling technology,” said Mayer. “Obviously, chemical recycling has to be complementary to mechanical recycling.
