Connecting people across the ETF ecosystem / Educating the market and bringing ETFs to more people. Founder of Blackwater and Moolah Invest

It's not only the turkeys who were facing the carving knife this week but also CEO's of ETF firms it seems, with some high profile names parting way, namely Luis Berruga at Global X and Marie Dzanis at Northern Trust Asset Management. Berruga had been doing a fine job at Global X and I'm sure Dzanis had a tough challenge navigating the corridors of power at a firm known more for mutual funds than ETFs. Hopefully both will find their way and good luck to them. But this is not about them but more about how hard it is to find success and maintain it in the ETF industry. The growth numbers and feel good factor around ETFs often paints a rosy picture of the industry, but under the bonnet it's a brutal battle ground for those trying to make their way. The barrier to entry may be low and that's what tempts a lot of new entrants, but to walk the walk is something that requires some seriously big cojones. So for those who pull that off, we salute you. Blackwater Search & Advisory #etfs #etf #assetmanagement #investmentmanagement #education

Very true! Not difficult to remain at the top for long in such a competitive industry yet it is worth the try!
