🔍 The latest Gallagher Re Insurtech report has found that while overall funding dipped in Q1 2024, the digitalization push in insurance continues to fuel investment especially in AI and distribution enablement focused Insurtechs 📉 📈 Funding Slump, But Early-Stage Growth: ⚡ Total Insurtech funding reached its lowest point since Q1 2020  ⚡The culprit? A lack of mega-round deals (> $100 million) - the first quarter since Q3 2017 with none! ⚡But wait, there's a silver lining! Early-stage funding defied the trend, surging 26% QoQ.
