Experiencing homelessness is traumatic, especially for children. That's why Metropolitan Ministries is dedicated to supporting these young ones through our PromiseLand Childcare Center and urgently call for volunteers and donations as we see an increasing number of children experiencing homelessness. "Families are really struggling right now," says Christine Long of the nonprofit, citing high rent, costly groceries, and rising living expenses as the main culprits. These factors are causing a surge in homelessness among families and young children. We need your help to continue this vital work. Our application inbox is consistently filled with single mothers facing eviction, living in shelters, in their cars or on the streets with their babies. They are homeless and trying to survive without basic necessities.. Did you know that eviction is second leading cause of homelessness in families with children? According to National Homelessness Law Center, nationally, nearly two out of five people became homeless through involuntary displacement from their housing and 75% of those households end up with less than half of their income to pay for necessities such as food, medicine, transportation, or childcare. The need is great, and the potential impact remains. We have unfunded single mothers and children that need assistance. Don’t feel obligated, but if you’d like to create impact, you can choose to donate to our Basic Needs Fund at upliftingwomen.org/donate. #directfinancialimpact #nonprofit #womensupportingwomen #supportwithinreach

Board of Director Chairperson "CLCL Foundation" -- Choose love. Celebrate life. A Foundation for Youth & Families, Inc.
10- to 19-year-old youth have no place to run for 350 days #AndCounting. 350 days. Still, there's no safe harbor for homeless minors and young adults anywhere in Ocean or Monmouth County, #NJ. No all-in-one beds, food, clothes, free case management, mental health assessments, treatments, groups, and referrals for youth. There's no place for the #Runaway. There's no home for the #Throwaway. When the only options for safe shelter are hours away from home, it deters youth from seeking services they know they need. It denies the opportunity for #family reunification services. Please, support CLCL Foundation , a registered 501(c)(3) created to #RestoreSafeHaven access. CLCL still needs more Board and Advisory members. Donations are #TaxDeductible and are needed to implement our innovative approaches to #ENDYouthHomelessness. https://clclfoundation.org

There is only a few hours remaining to donate during North Texas Giving Day! Our goal is to guide individuals from the streets to a stable living situation. Here's how your donation makes this journey possible: Immediate Shelter We offer a warm, safe space through our inclement weather shelter, clothing drives, and food events. This initial step builds trust and helps us identify individuals who are ready to embark on the path to change. Essential Support From ID assistance to meals and transportation, we provide vital resources that help remove barriers to employment and healthcare. Transitional Housing Finding permanent housing can take time. We offer temporary housing, such as hotel stays, to ensure a safe space while individuals secure a job and work towards stable living. Permanent Housing This is where real transformation happens. We cover move-in costs and deposits, providing individuals and families with the opportunity for long-term stability. Your support turns this roadmap into a reality for those experiencing homelessness. With every donation, you’re not just providing immediate relief; you're building a foundation for a better future. Donate now and help transform lives from the streets to stable housing. https://lnkd.in/gcNN9qaW Double Your Impact: Thanks to a generous donor, every gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $5,500. Your donation today can go twice as far in providing shelter, support, and hope. Communities Foundation of Texas #northtexasgivingday #ntxshareyourcare

Once again, the number of children experiencing homelessness has risen. In Greater Manchester, that's 7,679 children living in uncertainty and disruption. At the same time, we've seen a rise in the number of households owed a relief duty by their local authority. In other words, a rise in the number of households who are currently homeless. Genuinely affordable housing, meaningful preventative work, and full wrap around support to people without a home or facing a night on the streets are some of the raft of measures needed to truly end homelessness, and truly eradicate the need for rough sleeping. Greater Manchester Mayor's Charity are proud to support so many dedicated organisations in the city-region working hard to bring about real change, but we depend on the generosity and support of the businesses and people of the region to do that. If you can, help us be a lifeline to organisations on the frontline. https://lnkd.in/eH-Y9J9R We'll keep advocating for them, supporting them, and getting as much funding to them as we possibly can. Together, let's end #homelessness. The latest homelessness stats have been released and they paint a bleak picture. More children than ever are experiencing homelessness in England, including here in Greater Manchester. Too many young people are at critical stages of their young adulthood without the safety and security of a home. This disrupts learning, it disrupts relationships and it disrupts lives. We hope the new approaches that the new Government has tabled, especially their plans for housing, will provide some positive news in the months ahead, but as these figures show, there is a national crisis taking place. In the past five years, the Greater Manchester Mayor's Charity has been able to fund over 78,000 nights of accommodation in our A Bed Every Night scheme for those who would otherwise have been sleeping on our streets, but we must do more. Everyone has a human right to have shelter and to feel safe. No one should be without a home, and we must continue to provide as much support as possible to those made most vulnerable by our society. Every donation we receive is vital to achieving this goal, allowing us to share funding where it’s needed most across each of the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester. Businesses can help support through corporate donations or by installing one of our ‘Tap to Donate’ machines at till points. To help us, please donate today: https://buff.ly/3uZMvs8

A referral every 45 seconds. Every 45 seconds.
When our referral form is open, we receive an ask for help approximately every 45 seconds. We're London's biggest baby bank network, yet demand for our help from families across the capital continues to outstrip our capacity to support them. As this BBC News London report shows, donating to Little Village will make a big difference to children living in poverty: https://lnkd.in/eRRXn_Y2 Whether it's your child's pre-loved things, time or money, please donate and help us to give children the things they need. Visit our website www.littlevillagehq.org and click on 'Get Involved' to find out how you can help us support more children in London. #ItTakesAVillage #BabyBank #BabyBanks #ChildPoverty #Children #Babies #Donate #London

"48 Hours" can be the difference between a life of heartache and a life of hope. Alone, scared, hungry, out of money, and often without an I.D – newly homeless and at-risk youth will make bad decisions that they can’t take back... unless our Street Outreach volunteers find them first. For the month of April, they will work harder than ever to hit known hotspots (under bridges, bus stations, city parks) to distribute sleeping bags, clothing, food packs, and hygiene products and connect these kids with emergency housing, outreach centers and vital resources and referrals. We want them to know they have options, that there is a way out, and there are caring adults who believe in them – so they can move forward with hope. Need help or know a youth who does? 20% of the Canadian homeless population are youth between 13 and 24. In Toronto, 32% of people experiencing homelessness will have first experienced homelessness before the age of 16. Challenging economic times have put immense pressure on charities like ours with increased demand for our services and dwindling resources. As we approach the end of 2023, a stark reality has become painfully clear: charities across our nation are grappling with a severe decrease in support, leaving the most vulnerable at risk during the holidays. Please help provide a home for the holidays by giving to the YWS Home for the Holidays Campaign, where donations will be matched up to $200,000 thanks to a group of generous benefactors.
