Make this summer the best it can be. Visit wegotyouillinois.org to know if your child has been automatically enrolled or if an application is needed. Remember, Summer EBT is complementary to the summer meal programs; a family does not need to choose between the two programs.

Looking for nature based activities for your children during the Easter holidays? We love running our sessions, and we make sure that every day the children who attend are nurtured, valued and nourished! What does that mean though? 1.Our staff are calm, sensitive and super qualified. We have experienced facilitators who specialise in Wilderness therapy, forest school techniques, SEND, and FUN!! 2. They get to experience immersive play in nature, allll day! No one 'calling time' on play. It's child led, but with thoughtful boundaries. 3. They get lots of fresh air and exercise. We build in at least an hour of focused activity such as ball games, hula hooping, and tag. This is as well as the opportunity to run free on the site, climb trees, tree swings etc. 4. We offer a nutritionally balanced hot lunch and snacks to keep the children energised, and educate them about food too! Including visits to our on-site organic market garden! 5. We encourage respect! "Respect yourself, respect each other and respect the environment". We start and finish each day with circle time where each child has the opportunity to share, show, and chat and is encouraged to learn the respect mantra. Any questions? During the holiday season, students in the US get about three weeks total of vacation days. For many, that time is a celebration – no early morning, no class, and no homework! But for the millions of students who rely on school meals, the break from class can also mean no food. Learn more about how holiday hunger hurts students, and what you can do to help: https://bit.ly/47o0F4S

“I see a brighter future for our kids, because they want to participate in everything that is happening here at school.” –Nozi Rajuile Meet Nozi Rajuile, the principal of Tsholetsega Public School in South Africa, and the “brighter future” she’s talking about all started with… toilets, but not just any old toilets. These toilets are part of a game-changing sanitation system that’s completely clean, odorless, and water-saving. It also doesn't connect to the sewer system, which previously would overflow and close the school for weeks at a time. In addition, the old sewer system lacked clean water and safe sanitation, which was keeping kids from wanting to use the bathrooms at school. But since the installation of this new system, the Tsholetsega Public School has seen an 80% reduction in absentee rates. Now kids want to go to school, and more kids in class means more kids who can go on to realize their full potential. Visit our exhibtion, "A Better Way to Go: Toilets and the Future of Sanitation," to learn more about the power of reinvented toilets, and discover more stories of great people doing great things at gates.ly/49jNz8I
