Today is #GivingTuesday, and I wanted to share about the important work we do at Closegap! Closegap is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that makes it simple for schools to support the emotional health of K-12 students. Through a fun, developmentally appropriate check-in, students answer a series of questions related to their emotions, energy level, and physical needs. This data is then organized and delivered to school staff through an easy-to-use dashboard so they can intervene in real-time. Schools using Closegap have prevented suicides and uncovered cases of self-harm, sexual assault, bullying, and trouble at home that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. Our goal is to raise $20K to keep our tool completely free for schools and districts and support the mental health of more K-12 students. You can donate here: https://lnkd.in/gW2cc6gK

Missouri’s General Assembly begins convening in less than a month. Pre-filing of bills has already started. Last year was a tough session. This year will be a tough session. There will be good legislation introduced and some not so good. Your voice as a Missouri child care provider, or as parent, or as a business leader will be needed. Stay tuned for how to get involved. Additionally, the Board of Directors of Child Care Aware of Missouri has invested in a lobbyist this session (we do NOT use state or federal funding for these efforts; this is why we fundraise) to keep us better informed and to help move the needle on a handful of things many advocates have been fighting for plus a few other things we’d like to see addressed. These include but are not limited to safety and quality in child care (there must be funding behind it), education scholarships for child care educators (we’ve already been informed a budget cut is coming to T.E.A.C.H MISSOURI scholarships), child care educator compensation, innovative thinking to build child care capacity that includes existing and new child care programs, and increased and sustained subsidy reimbursements to help child care programs and families of a broader income level pay for child care. You can help fund these efforts, even if it’s a $10 or $20 donation. It all adds up. Click here - https://lnkd.in/gmF4_Esp Thank you, Robin Phillips, CEO

Product Manager | Helping Tech Startup Founders Solve Product-related Problems with 100% Focus on Customer Needs & Business Growth | Lifelong Learner
Out of all the causes I care about, children hold a special place in my heart, and here's why. There's something about their innocence, curiosity, and resilience that inspire me to do everything I can to support them and I believe that supporting children - both boys and girls - is crucial for building a better future for our world. On this Children's Day, I need to remind you that these children you see are the future leaders, innovators, and change-makers of our world. They have the potential to bring about positive change and make a significant impact. However, many children worldwide lack access to basic necessities like education, healthcare, and safety, hindering their growth and development, and ultimately affecting us all. So, what can we do today to support children worldwide? We can: • Donate to organizations providing educational resources and support to underprivileged children • Volunteer at local schools or organizations working with children • Advocate for policies prioritizing children's education and well-being • Mentor a child or young person in our community Whether you're a parent, educator, or simply someone who cares, every effort counts. P.S. Share your thoughts and ideas in the comments below on how we can support children and ensure they receive the education they deserve. P.P.S. Repost to support a child. This month celebrates National Make a Difference to Children, a time to recognize the impact we can have on children's lives. Our involvement today can shape their futures, providing them with the support and encouragement they need to thrive. Whether through mentoring, volunteering, or simply being a positive role model, every action can make a significant difference. Being involved in a child's life impacts their future by fostering self-esteem, providing guidance, and offering a sense of stability. When children know they have someone who believes in them, they are more likely to pursue their goals and overcome challenges. Our presence can inspire resilience, confidence, and a positive outlook, helping them navigate the complexities of growing up. To observe National Make a Difference to Children Month, consider volunteering your time at local schools, youth programs, or community centers. Donate to organizations that support children's education and well-being, or become a mentor. Spread awareness by sharing stories of positive impact and encouraging others to get involved. Together, we can create a supportive environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential. #educate #empower #prevent #childprotection #PTWF Paving the Way: https://lght.ly/7bcdbg2 Parent Tool Kit: https://lght.ly/mkagjj
