Students across our schools continue to make a positive impact through our Kids Helping Communities initiative this summer. Supporting Packs of Hope by filling backpacks with essential clothing items for children who are transitioning into foster care, creating Cards for Hospitalized Kids to brighten the spirits of hospitalized children, and collecting donations for the Denver Dumb Friends League - their local animal shelter- has certainly helped our students understand the power each person has to make a difference in the world. #CommunityService #Education

Way to go Evluma! Want to learn more about AreaMax? Give us a call!
With operations often going past sunset, Adopt-a-Pet, a volunteer dog shelter in Shelton, WA, required illumination on their grounds. In collaboration with Cascadia McLaren Inc., Evluma donated three AreaMax, with two on the way, so Adopt-a-Pet can safely and efficiently work at night. The dogs get additional playtime as well. Read the story and find out how you can contribute to Adopt-a-Pet in our blog post! https://hubs.ly/Q02dq-Zn0

The Give NCW campaign is a great platform for teaching your children about philanthropy and the importance of giving back to their communities! Here are some ideas for how to get started: 1. Carve out some time to talk about gratitude and how you can show your thankfulness by supporting causes you care about in your community. 2, Ask your children what they care most about: Animal welfare? The environment? Music and arts? Helping others less fortunate? 3. Use the list of participating nonprofits at GiveNCW.org (or in the printed directory) to find organizations that match their interests. 4. Determine a giving budget: Can your child use some of their allowance to pitch in? Will you as parents match their gifts? Remember, minimum gift through Give NCW is just $10! 5. Visit GiveNCW.org and start giving!

April is National Volunteer Month, giving you the perfect opportunity to do good in the world whether you have an hour or an afternoon to spend helping others. Here are some fun ways to lend a hand and make an impact on your community: *Park Clean Up - Grab some bags and invite your pals to spend a few hours on trash duty at your favorite green space. *Donate Books - If you have books, magazines or other reading materials collecting dust, put them to good use and donate to a local school or library. *Meals on Wheels - Find a local organization that delivers meals to those in need and see how you can help. Additionally, if you have a friend or neighbor who needs access to food, contact the organization and assist with the paperwork. *Letter Writing – Show members of the military your appreciation with a handwritten letter thanking them for their service and sacrifice. Write a service member you know personally or check out an organization like Operation Gratitude. Include drawings from the youngest members of the family! *Animal Shelter - Help your local animal shelter by donating bags of food, walking animals or taking a dog or cat home for the weekend to give them a break from shelter life. #NationalVolunteerMonth #HelpingOthers #LendAHand

Certified Wellness Program Manager - Transforming Workplace Culture through Effective Wellness Programs | Program Design & Implementation + Data Analysis & Evaluation
I love how volunteering is a priority at Baptist Health, because volunteering as a team can offer numerous benefits in addition to benefitting your community. Below are my top 3 reasons why you should volunteer with your team on a regular basis: 1. Sense of Purpose and Fulfillment: Volunteering together reveals that sense of purpose and fulfillment we all crave with the added satisfaction of contributing to something bigger than the daily grind. Creating moments that matter and leaving a positive impact have a ripple effect! 2. Enhanced Communication Skills: Volunteering isn't just about the tasks; it's about honing those communication skills. Coordinating efforts to achieve a common goal in a different setting can create major communication breakthroughs!! This has the potential to create smoother conversations and a workplace where everyone's on the same wavelength. 3. Skill Development and Learning: Volunteering is not your typical office routine – it exposes your team to new challenges, fostering growth and discovery. It is so fun to watch your team members surprise each other with unknown or untapped skills. Incorporating regular volunteering into your team's schedule not only benefits the community but also contributes to a more positive, motivated, and cohesive work environment. Get out there and make a difference, y'all!
Grateful for a rewarding day of community service at the Sulzbacher Center in Jacksonville, Florida! Our incredible team, including Tinesha Spencer, Lauren, Kelley, and Tori Snow, took charge of plating up meals with love and compassion. Together, they packaged over 400 plates of delicious chicken parmesan for the homeless community in downtown Jacksonville. Meanwhile, Rachel Miller, CWWS, Melanie Wood, Cassie Bruce, and Katie Sims, CWPM lent their hands to a broccoli-chopping marathon, contributing to a whopping 200 lbs. of fresh broccoli that was donated earlier that morning by a local farmer. It's inspiring to witness the impact we can make when we come together as a team and continue to serve our community through Baptist Health. The spirit of generosity and kindness that permeated our day at the Sulzbacher Center truly embodies their mission of community service. We can't wait to go back and serve! #communityservice #teamwork #givingback
