Dear TRIZ Enthusiasts, TRIZFEST2024 The 19th International Conference "TRIZfest-2024" will be held in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, from September 4th to 6th, 2024, with a pre-conference day of tutorials and workshops on September 3rd and post-conference attractions on September 7th. The event is organized by the International TRIZ Association (MATRIZ), the Malaysia TRIZ Innovation Association (MyTRIZ) and the Sarawak TRIZ Association (SarawakTRIZ). The theme of TRIZfest-2024 is "Innovate with TRIZ and AI for sustainable global growth." We at this moment invite everyone who is involved in TRIZ research and development, who uses TRIZ, as well as those who are interested in TRIZ and want to meet TRIZ professionals and learn more about TRIZ, TOPICS & PAPERS SUBMISSION The topics for this year's conference are as follows: 1. TRIZ for sustainable and ecological development. 2. TRIZ in mobility includes electric, hybrid, and hydrogen vehicles. 3. TRIZ in pedagogy. 4. TRIZ and AI are working together for growth. 5. TRIZ in industrial inventions of the 21st century. You are invited to submit abstracts of your scientific, research and practical work, case studies and descriptions of project results. The Abstracts and Papers Submission Schedule: • Abstract Submission Deadline: April 18th, 2024 (download the template and submit abstract via the TRIZFest24 website) • Notification of Abstract Acceptance: May 18th, 2024 • Full Paper Submission: June 28th, 2024 (download the template and submit paper via the TRIZFest24 website) • Notification of paper's acceptance: July 30th, 2024 • Final version Paper Submission: August 15th, 2024 CONFERENCE VENUE & FEES TRIZfest-2024 will be located at TEGAS DIGITAL VILLAGE and THE WATERFRONT HOTEL (to be confirmed). The standard conference fee is 200€, and it includes admission to the workshops and tutorials, both days of the conference, and to the MATRIZ Congress. The fee also includes conference materials, lunches, refreshments, and the conference Social Dinner Party. The Research and Innovation Bill will be taking Dáil Second Stage today, as it begins progress through the Oireachtas. The Bill is a commitment of Impact 2030, Ireland’s Research and Innovation Strategy, which was approved by Government in 2022.   The Bill makes provision for the creation of this new competitive research funding agency, Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland, through the amalgamation of the functions and activities of Science Foundation Ireland and the Irish Research Council.    Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland will build on the strengths of both the IRC and SFI – to ensure effective support of all disciplines, all career stages, and all types of research. It will place Arts, Engineering, Humanities, Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology on an equal and statutory footing for the first time, ensuring parity of esteem, better access to research funding, and greater consistency for this research community. The new organisation will be more than the sum of its constituent parts, to ensure it will deliver enhanced added value as part of the wider research and innovation system.    The broader thrust of Impact 2030 is to ensure that Ireland’s collective (public and private) investment in research and innovation makes as big a difference to as many people as possible. This aim lies at the heart of the establishment of Taighde Eireann.
