We would like to say a big thank you to The Clothworkers' Foundation for their generous grant. Through the Shout UK text messaging service we are able to support the mental health of hundreds of thousands of children, young people and adults every year, by harnessing the power of a digital platform. This grant will help us fund the continual improvement of Shout's technology, so that we can better the user experience for our deserving texters. We are very grateful.

Thank you, all, for your astounding interest! A) cleaning up PII found in DewDrop.txt So that likely I just publish it here. Policy: always ship working code, always improve. Simplifying is best improvement! So I have to pull admin out to separate file & combine them on the command line. Have 5-8 folks running DewDrop, more in wings, awaiting funding plan. Sponsorships. B) Split up PDF presentations & publish here. In way that the recap best of FOSDEM finale thing I did (kudo to all who can tell me it’s name) can be constructed on the fly from existing materials. Used to do our own share hard linked file trees and break link on edits at NeXT. This is prelude to showing equivalence to compacting “treeball” of ART data/code. Isomorphism is huge concept. TBD) Publish the Solution Space preview, and the organic expansion model of App Clients, and the two main coding tracks: kernel-ART (in C code ~30K to learn by doing, learn patterns, then recode smaller tighter better) kinda bit-twiddling hardcore (locked quadword compare-exchange instruction needed binary implantation cause assembler had bug.) Apps track. Pizza half gone. I’m new to open source. GnuNotUnixTM license fees lost long ago; C => ART-C might free us all… 🙏🏼

These kids are the next generation...and it's our responsibility to speak up. Being on a Cheshire Board of Governors The Learning Partnership I'm learning so much about our education system and we need to ensure that the education system is #inclusive and the appropriate funds allocated on a national basis. Great job speaking up Jennifer! MASSIVE topic. #EducationSector #EducationFunding #GovernmentEducation #NeurodiversityInEducation #NeurodivergentYouth #InclusiveEducation #EducationPolicy #LearningSupport #SpecialEducation #StudentSupportServices #EducationReform #EducationalEquity #DiversityInEducation #InclusiveLearning #SpecialNeedsEducation #NeurodiversityAwareness #InclusiveClassrooms #AccessibleEducation #StudentWellbeing #EducationalLeadership
I am grateful to BBC News North West last night for interviewing me on the campaign I have been running with local families in Cheshire to call for secure funding for special educational needs schools. This was prompted because the residential provisions at 4 Cheshire West schools are currently being reviewed. Families of children with disabilities or learning barriers so often have to fight for provision when it should be readily available at the point of need. Thank you to local papers and radio for covering the story and helping to amplify the voices of local families.

Request for Submissions: DC Creative Space Needs Survey The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) is assessing the most pressing space needs for DC's arts and humanities sector. This survey is a first step to resolving the creative space crisis in DC. In partnership with other DC agencies, The Business Improvement District (BID) Council, landlords, and other stakeholders, CAH is collecting this information to ensure DC preserves and expands its creative spaces, especially as the city continues its post-COVID pivot. CAH seeks responses from ALL interested arts and humanities entities including individuals, organizations (for-profit and non-profit), and unorganized entities. This can include painters, theatres, art service organizations, museums, filmmakers, art galleries, dancers, musicians, literacy groups, arts educators, bands, TV studios, installation artists, artist collectives, etc. Please feel free to share this link among your networks. Navigating the Data Galaxy | Future Data Scientist | DataScience | BehavioralTherapy | InnovationInTech | EmpathyInAnalytics
Warm Greetings to the LinkedIn community! :) Excitement and a touch of nervousness accompany my inaugural post on this platform, where I'm thrilled to share a personal project close to my heart. What began as a straightforward project for a programming course transformed into something more significant—a personalized daily task tool that I've named "Mood Minder." For those who don't know me yet, I embrace a "go big or go home" attitude when it comes to projects. Regardless of size, I dive in with enthusiasm and commitment. Today, I'm unveiling the most basic version of "Mood Minder." I've had to cut my original pseudo-code by 80%, acknowledging that I'm still a novice in the realm of C++. While my passion and vision fuel this endeavor, I recognize there's still much to learn before I can realize a fully functional version of my program. To clarify, I'm currently enrolled in an "Intro to C++" course. Despite being at the starting line, I've chosen to push beyond the boundaries of the course curriculum, driven by the desire to create something beyond my current comprehension. My goal is to turn this into a fully functional app. The journey may be challenging, but it's one filled with growth, learning, and the determination to turn ambitious ideas into reality. Thank you for being a part of this exciting venture with me! The purpose of Mood Minder: The primary objective of this foundational version of the program is to document and monitor an individual's mood, behavior, and activities. The aim is to adopt a comprehensive approach for individuals grappling with depression or anxiety. By providing a platform for users to observe their progress, the program facilitates a deeper understanding of the factors influencing their mood and behavior changes. Furthermore, it sheds light on activities that contribute to maintaining a positive outlook and high spirits. This project holds particular significance for me. Having personally battled depression for an extended period, I believe this application has the potential to be a valuable resource for individuals undergoing similar struggles. It has the power to transform how people perceive themselves. Recognizing the impact of visuals, this program serves as tangible evidence that individuals are on the right path toward achieving a happier, more positive quality of life.

First of all Thank You so much for all the support yesterday 💙 💙 💙 We secured 2d place, and this won't be possible without you!!! Many of you have asked me today what are the real results of the launch 👇 Now it's time to give back to the community. Here are my quick thoughts: Results: 1. 807 upvotes 2. 680 website visits (more upvotes than visits 😂 ) 3. 68 signups Learnings: 1. Having a group of friends/colleagues who will boost your upvotes in the first few hours helps a lot. 2. Engage with the PH community before the launch, to get help later. 3. There are tons of bots and frauds who offer you upvotes for money. I got like 15 in-mails offering 1st place for cash. If you feel like someone is using bots, reach out to the PH support team and ask them to investigate. My final thoughts: Product Hunt has changed, and the number of startups that launch are 10x compared to 5 years ago. It's not a magic pill to make your product viral. If you launch for the first time - lower your expectations. Just have fun, and enjoy the ride. 🚀

Data community manager | Translating data to insights and connections | Empowering data leaders to create business impact
What KPIs are important when it comes to assessing the health and progress of your community? While we're heavily informed by data we collect, the gut feeling persistently tries to assist, and even take over. Today I've facilitated a small discussion amongst fellow users of Zapnito, to understand what reporting we use, and how we define meaningful community KPIs. Some key ideas I took away: 📌 Content views/time on site can inform your content strategy, but have limitations when it comes to overall community strategy 📌 It's critical to look at the people who are *not* engaging, as well as those who are 📌 Balance the overall community KPIs with project specific KPIs 📌 (very very specific..) Hotjar is a tool to explore when it comes to heat mapping community pages While we all run relatively wide range of communities, the ways we move towards creating meaningful ways of measuring success are similar. When Data Leaders ™ pioneered the accelerator format for our CDO clients, I was not expecting to transition it to sessions I'd run to get answers to my own professional questions! It's been a great experiment session, and I look forward to facilitating a few more in the future! Thank you to all those who shared so openly! Shivani Maru (née Roda), Victoria Hart, Steve Diacono, Princess Agina, Imane Kassab - see you very soon!

While the farming world often throws curveballs with unpredictable weather and market changes, there are aspects we can surely take hold of. Let's focus on what's within our control: Within Our Reach: 1. Your Response: While we can't predict every challenge, we can control our reactions. 2. Learning & Growth: Taking courses, attending workshops, or simply learning from past seasons. 3. Building Community: Seeking advice, or offering support to fellow farmers. 4. Routine & Discipline: Setting a daily rhythm and sticking to it can provide stability. 5. Self-Maintence: Prioritizing moments of rest and relaxation amidst the bustle. 6. Setting Boundaries: Knowing when to say no, or when to ask for help. By focusing on these aspects, we empower ourselves amidst the uncertainties. Thank you to our partners, like Nutrien for championing the mental wellbeing of those in agriculture.
