Founder @ Bingo Loco | Competitive Socialising, Corporate Events. Selling 350,000 tickets a year over 750 events in 120+ locations globally
On January 1st, I made the move to the United States to expand Bingo Loco after 7 successful years organizing bingo raves in the UK, Irish and Australian markets. Here's a glimpse of my 10 key learnings from this exciting journey: - Researching Local Markets: Understanding consumer behavior, preferences, legal requirements, and competition was crucial for our expansion. - Crafting a Clear Strategy: Defining objectives and strategies tailored to the US market's nuances, from big cities to smaller markets. - Compliance with Local Laws: Adhering to state and city tax regulations was essential before approaching new territories. - Cultural Sensitivity: Adapting our show to local norms and business etiquettes in the diverse US market. - Effective Communication: Hiring local staff and adjusting humor and language to resonate with different audiences. - Building a Local Presence: Establishing in-person connections to demonstrate commitment and trust. - Strong Partnerships: Managing relationships uniquely to be adaptive and responsive. - Supply Chain Management: Developing a local logistics strategy for efficient operations. - Hiring Local Talent: Investing in performers who understand regional differences and audience preferences. - Continuous Adaptation: Regularly reviewing and adapting strategies based on market feedback and conditions. In the last few months: - 32% of states have operational setups (Pink) - 26% have operations pending (Orange) - 42% are part of the roadmap ahead (Blue) Excited to continue this journey of growth and adaptation in the dynamic US market!

Who is Dani Ruiz? Since joining Evans Delivery Dallas, Dani Ruiz has been leading the charge to orchestrate our customers' Houston drayage needs. What’s your role at the company, and how would you explain it to a 5-year-old? In simplest terms, I help people. Depending on whom you ask, I’m pretty nosy or curious, but I like a challenge and the opportunity to "figure things out." Most of all, I enjoy helping people. Officially, I work on the Houston side of our drayage business and handle every aspect of our process. Who inspires you most at work and why? Our owner, Creighton Kent, inspires me the most at work; he runs circles around everyone. He is very intelligent and analytical and has a process for everything. I recall a conversation we had over the phone while my son and I were experimenting with root beer floats. Mr. Kent described his process of making the perfect root beer float. If you like floats, I suggest giving Mr. Kent a call. Best of all, Mr. Kent is very patient and loyal and enjoys helping people succeed. I admire those traits. What’s the most exciting project you have worked on recently, and what made it memorable for you? The most recent project that I enjoyed working on was developing a service-failure tracking system to analyze our biggest obstacles and develop a process to manage them. I had never done that before, but as I mentioned, I like to figure things out. Describe your ideal weekend activity to recharge. I consider myself pretty boring, but spending time with my wife and son helps me recharge. If possible, I like to work out, and if I can get in an extra hour of sleep, I consider that a great weekend. What is one unexpected talent or hidden skill you possess? I’m not a great cook, and I was grateful for sandwiches and TV dinners back in my single days, but my wife and son love it when I cook beef ribs at home. I am not a pro by any means, but I have figured out some little things that make a huge difference.

Mort Fleischer, a former Board Chairman of STORE Capital, was the first to introduce capital, by way of sale-leaseback transactions, to the rapidly growing but fragmented chain restaurant industry in 1981 and has been a leading light for the company. Recently, Mort shared his professional insights with our Acquisition Team Members during an on-site sales training. Applying emotional intelligence, acting with integrity and being a “Master Communicator” were just a few takeaways from the training. Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, named #1 for customer satisfaction among mortgage origination companies in the J.D. Power 2023 U.S. Mortgage Origination Satisfaction Study, announced the return of multiple producers who had left Fairway for industry competitors. "We often look for excuses or external reasons for our lack of success," said Alejandro Jaurez, a Branch Manager from Austin, Texas who returned to Fairway from another lender. "But I'd say that if you can't find success at Fairway, you likely aren't going to find it anywhere else either. Fairway is proactive. I realize now we have leadership that is always looking ahead at the landscape and making sure that as a company we are on the cutting edge of technology, products, and industry changes. That kind of leadership allows us to focus on what we do best: origination." "I left Fairway and things weren't working out at my new place. Yet every time I talked with another prospective company, I found myself comparing them to Fairway. I realized the people at Fairway truly embody the core values and culture," said Traci Sansinena, a Branch Manager from Boise, Idaho who spent 18 months away from Fairway. "I have been at a lot of companies that talk values and culture, but it doesn't translate to everyone adopting it. Fairway also just has so much to offer. Each department and their offerings are bigger and better." #highaltitudeteam #FairwayNation
WELCOME {BACK} HOME! We are ecstatic to welcome back several producers who have returned to Fairway after having left for industry competitors. When the world threw us a curveball with Covid we provided a lifeline for our independent brewers. To help our clients maintain their sales while their usual profit-driving venues were closed, we introduced our home delivery model. This allowed our clients to keep their stock moving, reducing waste, and keeping their customers in good supply. This was a lifeline during those challenging times. But what surprised me most was that when hospitality bounced back, everyone seemed to ditch the home delivery model. 🚚 Even those who it was working extremely well for. And now, hospitality faces the same cost of living crisis as the rest of us, with steep increases in raw materials, energy prices, staff salaries and rent, all of which have a knock-on effect on their bottom line. I think now more than ever brewers must diversify their revenue channels and continue to foster the direct relationship they have with their audience. When you sell directly to your end customer you also benefit from the data! You can learn more about your target market and use this information to drive new launches and ultimately sell more beer! If you're curious about how your company can navigate the ever-changing landscape of the drinks industry, feel free to reach out. At Tap'in, we're not just a logistics company; we're partners in progress.

It’s super easy to get starry eyed when big players want to use your product. Lately, a lot of large multi shop operations and distribution partners have shown an interest in Revv. Something I keep telling our team: interest from large players is always great, but small and medium shops are still the core of our business and occupy the largest share of the market. They make up the majority of our customer base and we want to stay dedicated towards them. Focusing on small and medium operators also means Revv has consistent, predictable revenue. Closing and servicing these customers is where most of our headcount should be spending their time. We don't ever want to get starry eyed to an extent that the core – the largest part of the market – doesn't get the attention that it deserves.
