I just got my annual mammogram earlier this month because the American Cancer Society reminded me that women over age 40 should be screened annually. I encourage each of you to consider the cancer screenings you need in 2024 and get your appointments scheduled for the new year now! Remember, regular screening increases the chances of detecting certain cancers early, before cancer has a chance to spread. It is a simple action we can each choose to create a healthier future for ourselves and the ones we love! You will always land where you believe you can! You can be yourself worst enemy or best Ally! Practical Tips to Cultivate a Positive Attitude 1. Gratitude: Regularly reflecting on what you're thankful for can shift your focus from negative to positive aspects of life. 2. Mindfulness: Practices like meditation can help you stay present and reduce the tendency to ruminate on negative thoughts. 3. Positive Self-Talk: Replacing negative self-talk with positive affirmations can change your mindset over time. 4. Surround Yourself with Positivity: Being around positive people and consuming positive content can influence your own attitude. 5. Set Realistic Goals: Achieving small, realistic goals can build confidence and promote a positive outlook.

This will be a very interesting seminar. I know we are all interested in learning how we can support health equity and close the gaps that we see.
