Mammograms for Women with Breast Implants 💡 Yes, even if you have breast implants, it’s crucial to continue regular mammograms for breast cancer screening! 🎗️ Here’s what you need to know: 1️⃣ Mammograms are still necessary – breast implants don’t exempt you from this important screening. Detecting breast cancer early is key! 2️⃣ Compression limitations – during a mammogram, your breast tissue is compressed between two plates to get a clear image. If you have implants, the compression might not be as strong, potentially affecting image quality. However, it’s still essential to proceed with the test! 3️⃣ Communicate with your technician – make sure to inform the technician that you have breast implants. This way, they can take extra care and apply less compression to reduce the risk of any complications. While there is a minimal chance of implant rupture during a mammogram, letting your technician and radiologist know can significantly reduce this risk. Stay informed and take care of your health! 🌸 💬 Drop a comment if you have any questions. ❤️ Don’t forget to like, save, and share this post! 👉 Follow @drshrutigargofficial for more informative content! #breasthealth #mammogramawareness #breastcancerscreening #breastimplantscare #womenshealth #earlydetection #healthmatters #mammogramwithimplants #preventivecare #stayhealthy #DrShrutiGarg

Radiation may be recommended after the procedure. This option is available to many early-stage breast cancer cases. Mastectomy: A procedure to remove all the breast tissue.
