𝗢𝗻 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 For this next Women With Impact issue, it was so wonderful to interview Jennifer Jordan, Professor for Leadership and Organisational Behaviour at IMD. Our founder Clara met Jennifer at the St. Gallen Symposium this year, where she had the great honour to speak on a panel with her. At IMD, Jennifer most recently developed a new programme called “Women on Boards”, targeted at women to step onto the board of companies and being successful in their roles. The focus of the programme is especially on the psychological dynamics and challenges that are unique for women. The first edition was a great success. During our conversation, we spoke about what life experience Jennifer has most grown from. For her, being a parent has taught her to be sincere with others, instead of always needing to feel authentic, especially when such authenticity does not serve those who need you. When asked what resource more people shall take use of, Jennifer shares that having space for quietness can be so valuable. Particularly, in this world where there is so much noise and where you can always get easily (digitally) distracted. ↓ ↓ ↓ Learn about Jennifer by clicking the link in the comments. Thrilled to have been part of an inspiring panel discussion on Women in L&D Leadership yesterday! It was an honor to share the stage Dr. Haley R. Harbaugh, SHRM-SCP and Janine Ting Jansen! We dove deep into crucial topics that affect all of us: 📊 Pay equity: Addressing the gaps and strategies for change 💼 Negotiation: Empowering ourselves to ask for what we deserve 🤝 Allyship: How we can support each other and amplify the voices of women 🚀 Sponsorship: The power of advocating for women in the workplace 🙋🏽♀️ Women of Color: How the intersectionality of race and gender, compound challenges and are statistically underrepresented at leadership levels. What struck me most was the openness and vulnerability in our conversations. We shared personal experiences, challenges we've faced, and strategies that have helped us succeed. It's clear that when we come together and lift each other up, we all rise. 💁🏽♀️💁🏻♀️💁🏿♀️💁🏼♀️💁🏾♀️ To all the women in L&D and beyond: Let's keep these conversations going. Reach out to your colleagues, offer support, and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Together, we can create a more equitable and empowering environment for all. A huge thank you to Corporate Learning Network for hosting this event and to my fellow panelists Dr. Haley R. Harbaugh, SHRM-SCP and @Janine Ting Jansen for their wisdom and insights. Here's to more women in leadership roles and to a future where these discussions are no longer necessary! 🎉 #WomenInLeadership #LearningAndDevelopment #PayEquity #WomenEmpowerment #ProfessionalDevelopment

"One of the most significant challenges BIPOC women face is navigating systemic bias and discrimination. This can manifest in various ways, including microaggressions, lack of opportunities and pay inequity," says Chelese Perry. While I am not a BIPOC women, I very much agree with the strategies outlined in this article. Empowering women leaders isn't just about equality. It's about unlocking the full potential of innovation, diversity, and progress. When women lead, diverse perspectives flourish, driving creativity and resilience. Empowered women leaders inspire positive change, mentor the next generation, and contribute to more inclusive and equitable societies. We need to continue to recognize the transformative power of empowering women in leadership – it's not just a choice; it's a strategic imperative for a brighter future. #WomenLeaders #Empowerment #DiversityandInclusion #Leadership

Resiliency Expert, Speaker and Consultant with a transformational, comprehensive approach to stress and resilience | Enterprising Women of the Year Award Winner
This year's Women in the Workplace report by Lean In and McKinsey & Company shows that companies need to be investing MUCH MORE in their women. 👉 The way things are going it will take 22 years to reach parity in corporate America for white women, and more than twice as long for women of color (48 years!). 👉 Women remain less likely than men to be hired into entry-level roles, which creates the "broken rung", leaves them underrepresented and reduces their chances for promotion and growth. 👉 Women are far more likely than men to deal with comments and actions that undermine their skills and expertise. These microaggressions make it harder for women to speak up, take risks, and surface concerns at work. 👉 Women still do far more housework than men. Roughly 4 in 10 women with partners say they are responsible for most or all of the housework. 👉 Levels of stress and burnout continue to be highest among women. Companies need to invest in career development programs that address the unique challenges of women and women of color and I've got just the thing: my Resiliency Academy for Female Leaders. Today, on International Women’s Day, I want to shift the focus from performative gestures to substantive actions. It’s essential to recognize not just the faces of our female + femme colleagues but also the policies and practices that support our growth and well-being. Celebrating women should be more than just a one-day event or annual post spotlighting the women working in your org; it should be an ongoing commitment to creating inclusive, equitable, and supportive work environments. How many women have been promoted within your organization this year? How about access to leadership training, mentorship programs and equitable pay? These are the metrics that truly signify an organization’s commitment to supporting and empowering women. Let’s shine a light on those who are making real strides in supporting women’s growth and well-being. Which companies do you believe are setting the standard for genuine support and empowerment of women in the workplace? Here’s to true progress and the companies leading the way. #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInLeadership #WomenInCannabis #thefutureisfemale

Women in Healthcare Leadership: Happy International Women's Day! Despite advances in healthcare, women clinicians & women leaders often face unique challenges that can impede their journey toward leadership and empowerment. From navigating gender biases to balancing the tightrope of work-life balance/ integration, a woman's career path in healthcare is very hard. Yet, it's these hurdles that make our journeys inspiring. Women empowering women is about changing the hidden curriculum and dialogue: ☑️ It's about augmenting other women's opinions during meetings. ☑️ It's about sponsoring a woman clinician into leadership positions & giving her space to try something different. ☑️ It's about creating policy that welcomes the many identities of managing motherhood and caregiving. ☑️ It's about making equity for all genders to live a meaning personal life + provide skills to patients and the healthcare organization.
