Meet Ayla Bradley, Senior Art Director, at GSW, powered by Syneos Health , serving the healthcare marketing imperatives on pharmaceutical brands that market to both healthcare professionals and patients. A rewarding aspect of her work is to problem solve and come up with new unique design that pushes the boundaries of the pharma world. One thing that makes Ayla think differently is her dyslexia. She does not see her disability as something that weakens her, but as a way to remember to incorporate accessibility into the pieces she creates. Outside of work Ayla loves watching and playing sports. In the summer you can find her at a Yankees game cheering on the team with friends. In the winter she is skiing every weekend. Ayla coaches young ski racers with some aspiring to be selected for the Olympics one day! She unwinds with drawing and painting fine art pieces. Ayla is sharing her story as part of the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame's DEI social media campaign to attract people into the healthcare advertising industry. I have to tip my hat to the recruitment team for McCann Manchester. Recently, I applied for a position with them. The #Role itself did not have a salary displayed but, was super interesting and... who wouldn't want to work with McCann? Not only did one of the recruiters contact me very soon afterwards but they went one step further. After reviewing my portfolio and application they felt that I had more than enough experience for the position but, that because of this, the role may not have the budget for me. They then told me the budget for the role, asked me what my thoughts were and then stated, and I quote "I'd be happy to keep an eye out for more senior roles if this one isn't the right level". I don't wish to name the person mentioned as I have not asked their permission. However, I had to highlight this stellar level of candidate communication! At a time when hearing anything back is like the unicorn of #jobsearching, to get this level of openness and communication... well, BRAVO! #recruitment #communication

Voiceover Artist💠A Voice That Connects 🎙 Source Connect 🎙 Consulting Partner ◾ Helping Business Attract A+ Talent
Look deeper, listen harder. First, if you don't know who Ruth Ozeki is, look her up. Her creative credits are too many to list! When I saw today's quote, my first thought was about an experience I had as a recruiter many years ago. I was working with a physical therapy candidate for a Director of PT position in a hospital. Let's call her Sarah. Sarah worked for an orthopedic doctor specializing in sports medicine. The director position I presented to Sarah was a big advancement opportunity for her. She was genuinely excited about it. The whole team at the hospital loved her, and she loved them. Everything was falling into place perfectly. I was told an offer was forthcoming, and I knew she'd be thrilled. She was! And then she turned it down. 😲 What had I missed? My job was to make sure everything was aligned. She was positive throughout the whole process. And then it hit me. It was fall ... football season. 🏈 Before talking to her again, I called the hiring authority (humbly) and expressed what I felt "might" be the fly in the ointment. I asked if they'd be willing to put off her start date until after football season ended (three months). They agreed. When I called Sarah, I tried putting myself in her position, hoping that she'd open up. She did. I was right. She was loyal to her doctor and patients and didn't want to leave them during football season. She told me she didn't question the start date because she thought it would be too much of an ask to put it off. Both Sarah and I assumed and failed the hospital. Until we each took a moment to consider different perspectives. 🤔 Sarah accepted the hospital's offer with a modified start date. She became a highly valued leader. A superstar. Not everything is obvious. Perspective matters! Have you considered adding the value of voiceover to your marketing and advertising campaigns? How about your website? I can help you with that! 🎙 Always at your service! 🙏 #perspective #voiceover #marketing #voiceoverartist #advertisingandmarketing

Creative | Cannes Young Lions UK Winner 2024 | D&AD Portfolio Pick & Ones To Watch 2023 | Founder of Creative Newbies Network
How many more conversations do I have to have with placement creatives who are on the verge of quitting the industry before they’ve even had the chance to begin. It’s crushing me. In less than a week I have spoken to 2 teams, currently working on placements, who feel this way. Even though I love my job and of course want to encourage these teams to keep going… how can I argue with the fact they make minimum living wage and face constant uncertainly, agencies basically treat them as bottom priority and leave it days before the end of placements to tell them whether they can stay or not. So many things need to change. Me and Anna cannot sit back and watch the industry lose incredible talent and potential. But we are only two juniors and we can't make change on our own. The Creative Newbies Network is the biggest group of placement level, creative ad talent in the UK. So to help in the short term, please, if you can help in any way, if you have roles or opportunities for placement creatives but don’t want to post them publicly- please reach out to us and we can put you in touch with so so many amazing creatives. If you are a young ad creative, then see Creative Newbies Network is all about here and how you can join us : https://lnkd.in/ei-EXBgW *Please ignore my typo I was angry and didn't check my spelling*
