This often-overlooked practice has brought MediaX | A Creative Growth Agency significant business. It’s not a shortcut; it’s the art of persistent follow-up. In my experience, the maximum follow-ups I’ve done for a single lead is around 45. The attached screenshot perfectly illustrates how consistent follow-up and a genuine interest in the lead can either bring them back or earn you a referral. This particular lead initially found our model unsuitable and decided not to proceed with us. But instead of closing the door, they referred us to another lead, which we converted with just one call. And am I going to stop here? Absolutely not. I’m already working on suggesting a model that suits the original lead’s needs better. The key takeaway? Always find a win-win. The ability to seek a middle ground in every situation has been instrumental in closing a lot of business for us.

This is advice that Niki Hutchison shared with me. And I’ve been sitting with it. But it is probably the most vital piece of marketing advice I have heard in months. What does it mean? Whether it is a virtual or physical room, are you hanging with the right crowd? Are you surrounding yourself with people who resonate with your message, with your ideal customer, or who can promote your offer? Or are you in fact, going through the motions because it is what you see other businesses do? Have you been told 'showing up' is what you have to do to 'go viral' (we all have, you're not alone).
